New patch doesnt allow game to run?

Just added the patch and get this error:

"cannot find disc or authenticate"

Tried reinstalling...same thing. It does see and check the disc but keeps coming up with that message. Unpatched worked fine.

Ideas?

eject the disc, re-insert, wait for it to spin then start the game

that doesn't help me, i've been listening to it spin for 10 minutes, still no boiling point, im going to reinstall the game and run it without the patch for now I think, thats very annoying though, is it a joke atari?- helping people reach "boiling point" faster perhaps. After the patch is installed Xenus.exe is 3.26MB, i think it was quite a bit bigger than that before, could that have something to do with it???

did you double click the shortcut? it doesn't have an auto run menu

:madred: I installed the euro patch as well and now i have the same fault,
It tells me to take the CD/DVD disk out of my DVD Drive and insert the Boiling Point DVD which is in the drive, so the game is bugged and the patch is bugged more, How cool is that (bad joke) and i cannot return the game to my local GAME Store as thay don't allow returns on PC Games, So i not a happy chappy at all. :madred: :tdown:

I think it has something to do with the DVD protection and it may not like my drive and thats a new drive, Works without patch but bugs are to much for me, Now i'll have to wait for patch 2. :mad:
