New Patch and CD - DVD re insert disc bug

Bit miffed just installed the new patch but now i get "Please Remove current cd\dvd drive and insert original disc in another drive" when i try to start the game. I've re inserted the dvd and rebooted but get same problem.

By the looks of the board i'm not the only one who's having this problem. Time to hunt down the no cd *****.

Same Here, but should you need to use a nocd ***** to play a game you paid good money for, and a nocd ***** for the patched version will not be downloadable for a few days. :tdown:

i would avoid the no cd ***** cos it messes up the graphics/sound,
I installed the patch but then replaced the new Xenus.exe file with the original one from the dvd and the game started but everything went cuckoo, the "back" buttons on the menu didn't work for starters so i eventually gave up with the patch and just made a clean install.

but the problem seems to be in the new Xenus.exe file in the patch, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a security thing gone wrong ie. making it harder for pirates and unfortunately impossible for people who actually bought it.

Just checked my two fav ***** sites, looks like i'm going to have to wait for a new patch or for the no cd *****.

I don't want to use a nocd *****, i want a patch that works, i had to pay to play and now i can't play, and how long will it be for a patch to fix the patch?
