BUG REPORTING SYSTEM

BUG REPORTING SYSTEM (BRS) (http://www.boiling-point.net/index.php?/index.php&x_action=../bugs/index.php)

We've set up a bug reporting system, or BRS ;)

You have to be a forum member to post, we have to do this otherwise we'll get all kinds of spammers! but please don't feel obligated to sign up.

This is how it works:

1) user submits a bug

2) an admin will review the bug report

3) if the bug is approved it's status gets changed to "Open" and an email is auto sent to DS with all the bug info

4) If the bug is not approved, it's status is set to "Discarded" and removed from the full bug list.

5) If your bug is discarded, you have 2 options, 1) accept and it gets deleted or 2) edit your bug and request a review

6) When a bug is changed to "Closed" this means it's been fixed.


NOTES:

When you first post a bug it will be set to "waiting" and not visible in the main bug list... once reviewed it will appear in that list but you can view your own bugs at any time and check up on their status.


Work in progress:

*) We're currently working on adding the ability to upload a screenshot
*) Adding a "Reason" for a bug being discarded - so for example DS could request more info etc.

Great system but did Deep Shadows approve of this? Or are you just hopping they will read it. I am not being pessimistic but more relaistic.

Is the User list updated in real-time? Or do i have to wait to be added?

I got a bug list a mile long lol, I swear if I get out of a boat one more time and fall through the floor into an endless nothing....

Yes approved,

once a bug is approved, it gets auto sent to DS. the idea is to cut out all the useless posts and just keep it nice and tidy :)

user list? as in you just registered on the forum? then yes it's real time... you should be able to log in straight away

i found a bug with the Xenu Fragment mission.
mission taken at the gas station got a civilian call Isaiah(not really sure what he called), he wanna change with a sniper and 4 L4 upgrade package. i already exchange those weapon with the Xenu Fragment. but the mission still there and he still looking for the weapons.

You need to use your username from HERE (http://www.boiling-point.net/index.php?forum=2&x_action=forum/phorum.php?list,1)

Thats why i said you shouldn't feel obligated to sign up!

I got a bug, I bought the game today, my PC is above the minimum spec, but it won't load. I've tried closing down my anit-virus, firewall, loading from the CD, but nothing happens when I try to load it.

The biggest bug for me is stuttering when driving and moving the car left and right.
V-Sync usually helps in most of the games I have played but not on this one.
My system:
Pentium 4 3.4 ghz
2 gb RAM
Win XP
Ati Radeon 9800 with 5.6 Catalyst (same problem with 5.5)

Man, I like this game. It is a lot better looking and has better plot than gta san andreas, but untill this driving bug gets fixed I cannot play it.

I had similar problem with another game called GTR FIA Racing. The fix was editing the config.ini file and changing the line VBSTRATEGY=1 to VBSTRATEGY=0 (I think vb stands for vertex buffer)
I hope that suggestion helps. I tried looking for something like this in the ini file but couldn't find anything.
