Not got to them yet but in 99% of games the RPG is a fire in a straight line weapon, and the AA should have some degree of target seeking.
the stinger AA rocket launcher is for helicopters and if ur up a mountian the planes
the RPG is for use on the ground against tanks cars buildings people
Erm, Black Hawk Down, Anyone?

im sure you could if its close enough

Is it possible to shoot a helicopter down with small arms such as the combat rifle or assault rifle?

I tried once when I was on a moutain side and the heli got quite close to me but it seemed to have no effect. I ploughed 250 odd rounds into it and had to reload the game as that was my whole ammo store, but it just kept on going.

yes if it is within your weapon attack range

I thought so.
I reckon that I managed it in a mission a while ago, but haven't been able to do it again.
I was beginning to wonder if it had been a case of, while I was shooting at it with my rifle someone else was shooting at it with something much more meaty.
Guess not.
Cool :-)

I managed to shoot down a heli with RPG, it was quite high, but attacking me and following me, so I thought I might as well give it a go, i just aimed a bit in front of it the way it was going and I got it, I did that a few times, yea its much easier with AA but you dont get many of them, I kept gettin RPGs from missions that I never used.
