Using Directional Microphone?!

Hi everyone. Im having bother trying to figure out how to use the directional mic in a mission where you have to spy on three people at a graveyard. Its a government mission.

The X on the map just points to the table where they r sitting and if i go close to them they run off.

how do you use it?

The whole point of directional mic is to listen in on conversations from distance. I won't say more, use your brain.
