Having thought that all of my problems were over I have now found that I can't go prone.
Has anyone else had this problem, or better, found a reason/fix for it?
I have reinstalled, but it is obviously something to do with my savegames as, when I put them back the problem came with them.
I've gone too far to go back and start over now. If no-one has a fix then I'll just have to play the game without the ability to use stealth.

Nope, didn't work, but thanks for the suggestion :-)
I am, however, somewhat embarassed to say that it seems to have just sorted itself out all on it's own since.
Maybe it just took, like, ages and ages for the numlock to come off :-)
Anyway, I'm rehappibunnified now.
rehappibunnified

Well, this is the year that saw "Squeaky bum moment" added to the Oxford English Dictionary, so the way I see it, it's a free for all :D

One last note on the not being able to go prone issue - just in case anyone else does experience this.
The problem started after I finished learning to fly the plane. I have my prone button mapped to Z so that I can hit the dirt the moment that fire starts coming my way, and I have the drop down/engine off button mapped to \ and when I was doing the flying mission I was jabbing away in a panic with my little finger trying to throttle back to land the plane and couldn't work out why nothing was happening - the reason being that I was jabbing at Z rather than \.
As an experiment I tapped the Z key a few times while driving the Piranhia (and how much do I love the fact that they've included a Land Rover in this game - even if they do feel that they have to rename it), and it is after this that the prone bug seemed to disappear.
I don't know if this is just snake oil or a genuine fix but either way I'm not going to experiment in case it screws up again and I can't get it working.
