Hi folks,
Just formatted computer and reinstalled RCT 3, and decided to check for updates.

I have found update 2, and have downloaded it.

However when i try and install it, it states "cannot locate RTC3 (Europe), RETAIL , on your computer".

Last time i checked, i definatly bought the game in the UK and in retail packaging!

Any ideas?

is RCT3 on your main drive (C:) or a different one, that might be the problem.

Looking at the 2 links above I followed the advice on the second and installed rct3 then ran it up and used the auto update option off the main screen. Everthing was fine. it uploaded to my pc no probs.. Mine did complain the first time that it couldn't find the file when I downloaded it and put in my c:\ drive but having used the auto update thing it works ok now. :)

Well auto-update states the game is up-to-date.

Is their a way to check what version of the game i have to see if the update has been applied?

See if you have a guest list under park management.

if it says that the game cannot be found, then u are running the most up-to-date version (i think). It may have updated its-self without you realising.

Either that, or you have tried to install the wrong version of the update 2 patch. There are 3 different versions, check that it's the right one!
