ok I need help finding a site to host my banner because it has animation on so i can only save it as psd.
does anyoen know a site that allows you to host psd files

How about your ISP? Do you have any webspace with them?
A word of warning though, since psd is Photoshop's native format, most browsers won't support it so people won't be able to view it anyway. You're better off converting it to gif for the web (or maybe png, I can't remember if they handle animated images?)

I tried saving it as a gif but to dot hat I have to convert the program back to photoshop but then the animation doesn't work :cry:

Do what i do, print screen! Very handy...
Then paste into paint, crop it down, and save.

Surely that's not going to make the animation work though. I've no idea personally since I've never used Photoshop in my life :lightbulb

Download a trial version of Macromedia's Fireworks (this works for me ^_^)
you can download it at www.macromedia.com just go to downloads and scroll down :) you need to register a free account but thats not really a biggie
it uses al sorts and also can read psd file you then could save it (in the program that called exporting) to png or gif format ;) and you can tweak with export preview teh colors and the precision of the colours ;) so hope this helps
