NOTE: I have searched this forum before posting and it seems no one faced this problem.
I have played the game - Aow - four times online without any problems or disconnections. But now I am getting this message: "Connection to the server has failed". Note that I get this error when I try to "log in" using my valid GameSpy account to play an online game. I have even tried creating a new account, but I still get the same error when the game attempts to create the new account.
my system specifications:
Intel P4 2.4 Ghz
Win XP Home SP2 and all the updates.
1 GB DDR Ram
128 MB nViidia GefOrce 5200 FX - Driver version 77.72
Creative Sound Blaster Live!
DirectX 9.0c
AoW Direct Action original copy + patch 4
There is no problem with my pc. All firewalls are configured properly otherwise I wouldn't be able to play the game four times in three days. Singleplayer and the campaign work perfectly. I don't even have the sound problem other people have encoutered previously - where the sound is late by few seconds.
I think its a problem with GameSpy because my Battlefield 2 connection is also refused by GameSpy servers. But if thats the case, why others aren't facing the same problem.
I desperately need your help before I get bored of this game.
Your prompt response is highly appreciated.
