View Full Version : RCT3 Stations

I recently been wondering why RCT3 stations are so.. well... simply phooo...
The station for every single rolloercoaster ride on the game just looks so dangerous (that real thin walkway and the fact peeps can walk along it while a car is in motion!) and not very real, Surely it couldnt be hard to have proper big stations to attach to the sides rather than these litle 1x1 tile huts, They just dont look right.
What I would love to see is 1x3 to 1x5 and 2x5 tile sized stations that you can attach to the side of a track station with a few color and toggle options to change appearance, A nice little roofed off complex that has those railings where ussualy you have 2 people stand at each little post and some have bars that only open when it's safe to enter the cars keeping the peeps away from the track edge when it aint safe, Also within the area thier is a windey que path just after the payment booth so their is enougth paid up peeps ready to get on next set of cars (otherwise it takes longer to get people on a ride if they have to pay as their getting on so haveing peeps already waiting is faster because while another set of cars is going round the circit the next set of peeps could be paying to get on the next car set before it arrives).

Another addition that would have been cool is haveing to have to put down control stations for every ride (except transport rides) so their is a member of staff in the control station for the ride controling the safety bars and when the cars start and stop.

Maybe those can be in another expansion pack or be part of a new RCT title for pros on a new game engine as a realism version of the RCT titles (RCT Profesional) make it look less tooney and aim for makeing to a standard where it could be used for real park design :D

Also, I dont like it how peeps start getting on a ride when other peeps that have just been on the ride are still getting off! :(

same thing with inverted coasters also floorless i think  In theme parks the floor lowers. Not rct! The peeps walk along "the thin path" whilst the trains in motion and then make a leap of faith to land in the seat :lolblue:

If it had lowering floors don't you think it would be a waste for FPS? it would just add to the ever growing amount of animations within the game.

Plus this is a theme park game, not a roller coaster "simulation".

Thats rubbish. Why does the flying coaster tilt? about your sig. Who are the "noobs" the people you never were once. All the noobs killed? You mean rct generation wiped out? All the noobs that download your parks? All the noobs that read your threads and posts? All the noobs that keep the forums alive? If it wasn't for the "noobs" these would be dead along time again mate :lolblue:

Wooo n00bs!*

P.S don't think many people will miss you. you only post a sarcastic comment every so often. :D

The flying coaster tilts because it has to, as how on earth would riders climb in?

You tell me what ride in rct3 shows you the peep walking along the platform and climbing into the ride? none.! because its a un-needed piece of animation... and i don't know if you have noticed but all/most station platforms in the game are the same... makes sense... less new graphics as it will just repeat the already existing ones for different coasters...

How would they climb in the inverted coaster! :confusedb pretty impressive leap of faith if you ask me.Ok i guess your right about the floor raising up etc. but i think a floor of some sort could have been put there. Its not like they worry about collision detection.

Well you don't hover into an inverted coaster do you, you climb into it...!

Collision detection? it's not the case of that, it's the case of adding to the ever growing animation within in the game... imagine a peep walking upto a bin, why have a fliptop bin where the peep opens it, than a open bin where they just throw it in... the open bin is not animated...! thats why.

When i was talking about collison detection i meant about the peeps feet hitting the floor like they would in real life if the floor didnt fall.
