I just got the demo and haven't a clue what is going on, I can't do anything. How do I pick things up, move things, open doors? Where are the frikking instructions? The controls don't appear to have any options for manipulating objects. Do I have to guess what combination of keys to press to play this game.

It's all graphics and nothing else.

This game gets a big thumbs down from me!

Sorry you feel that way........Im playing it on the PS2 and the pad controls get better as you play.
As for the PC..........
move the character with the cursors (Move Forward with Up, Turn with left & Right, About-turn with Down) and when something to interact with appears at the top of the screen, hold down the mouse button and move it in the direction the icon indicates... When you get a sliding scale with plus and minus at either end, you tap left and right continuously to fill the bar

Don't be put off by the demo. It's a very unusual game, I'm playing it on the PS2 and once you've been through the tutorial the commands make sense and you get used to them.

I'd say that graphics are the least intriguing thing in the game (and they are good, I'm really impressed of how they managed to reproduce facial expressions). Good story, interesting game play. It's one of those games I could spend all day playing.

ssj5, it'll be out on Friday, we just got a couple of days before release to get to know the game :wink2:

I'm hoping that I'll get home from work tonight to find the game (Xbox version) waiting for me. I've been looking forward to this game since it was first announced and it has cost me a lot in buying magazines to read the different reviews (despite having pre-ordered it over 2 months ago).

You won't be disappointed, Darth. So far I'm well impressed, it's very different from anything I've seen. And you have to be so fast in your decision making process...I'm gonna go mental :chapeau:

You're right, I haven't been disappointed. I started to play it last night (but I've deleted my save as I want to start again without work getting in the way) and have enjoyed every second of it. I love the fact you have to make decisions quickly and I've found that you actually start to feel for the characters in the game.

Same here, and it gets better and better! :)

It's funny how David Cage and the reviewers have stated that you're never required to make "moral decisions", as I found you do pretty early in the game :mefiant:

Darth, my suggestion is that you should take it really really slowly, there is soooo much stuff in this game! I've started it twice, and with only minimal changes in my actions I found different clues and scenes (no spoilers, but we were laughing our heads off last night playing the game lolblue: lolblue: )

ssj5gogeta

I heard that after the initial scene there are as many as 5 choices, all with different consequences to the storyline and that [SPOILER] You also get to play as the detectives tracking you down, and you get to decide how much evidence they actually discover

I have been taking it slowly, I spent about 20-30 minutes just exploring the appartment at one point.

Yes, its no secret that you play the detectives, the objective though, seems to be to help them as much as possible, so that they have all the required clues and information. The aim of the game is more to solve the puzzle of what happened rather than help Lucas evade capture - of course you need to keep all your characters alive and free and happy to manage this.

And after saying I'm taking it slowly I ended up spending most of today playing it and have now finished it. Definitely worth the money in my opinion, the only other games this short that I've thought to be worth the money have been the two Max Payne games so it's definitely sitting in good company.

Some setups have trouble with the copy protection.

Try some of the tips in the techincal help thread (http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=30424) and make sure the disk is clean!

Woot Woot, bounce: bounce: bounce: i just spent half of the day playing this game and it is sooooo good.. i really like how every little decidion you make affects the storyling, and that you have to chose things in less then a sec.

The graphics look pretty good and i like that the place where you are is different every time.

Also, the controls are quite tricky at the start, but after you get the hang of it, you notice that they are very original and not to hard.

so 10sur10 if you ask me :)

btw, i have the feeling this game can end in 1000 different ways weirdblue

edit: my crapiest text of english if you ask me... lets just say it`s late rolleyesa

Kudos on one of the best games I've ever seen (except for the arcade sequences ehm...).
I just read from an interview on 1up about episodic content:

Initially, Indigo Prophecy was supposed to be sold as an episodic game. I started working on the plot and the first episodes based on the TV series format, with an ongoing story, recurring characters and cliffhangers at the end of each of the 12 episodes. I wrote a full bible for the world and all of the characters with the idea to create a reference in order to share the writing between several writers. I also developed a significant number of side stories that would run in parallel, generally related to the lives of the main characters.

Just curious to know why this has changed? I would have loved to see episodic content... :(

Anyway thanks to Quantic Dream for... making me dream. You've leaved a mark in my memories (and in those of many other peoples, I'm sure).
