Gamespot stated that there are 7 modes
1 is the story mode
another is duel
then world tournament
also this mode where you start with ten and must get the high score or thousands or hundreds, you fight battles with time limits etc. if you win a normal battle in less than a min you get more points.
the 2 non playable modes
Evolution Z (customise characters)
another mode where you view art and other stuff
there's probably an options menu as well

Maybe Ultimate Battle or Evolution Z is where you can level up/customize your character, it might be like Budokai 3 where after you fight, you get a Password and Skill Points. :wink2:

Hmm, I think that the MAX is 10 for each Attribute.
And I think at the top it says your attack and defence.
Great Saiyamans is 34000 or Something.

The game is looking awesome. I think it's actually kinda cool that they don't have in game transformations. It saves the time of powering up eh? and if you want to fight a computer fusion, you know that you'll be able too fight it straight away. I'm not a big fan on the dubbing...I would be nice if they edited it for the English / American / Australian release.

Really?.. What makes you think so? I live in Finland and the voice in my Budokai 3 sure aint japanese. But of course it could be different with Tenkaichi.. :noooo: That would totally suck. I just can't stand Goku's japanese voice ;(

Don't worry- You can trust Amazon. The new releases always get delivered on time. However, they took a long time to get Bio- Broly. Oh yeah, what do you think of it?

I know that many other people have said the same thing, but the fact you can't transform during combat in Tenkaichi really spoils it. It won't be as exciting when you power up... When you transform, it usually gives you he feeling of POWER! I won't be able to say, "Here's my super transformation!" to my brother... There are even more downsides to it, I could LITERALLY go on forever. Transforming is a part of DragonBall Z fighting, and should always remain an important aspect. Can you transform? I'm still not sure... frownblue

The Oozaru looks like a joke to me. Have you all seen the video clips of him fighting against Piccolo ? Oozaru isn't even bigger than Broly. weirdblue .. That's just stupid. And the way he fights.. looks ridiculous frownblue

I'm not at all excited about this game anymore. :S My first impression, after seeing some clips, was "Omg, it looks amazing" but now.. when I know there's no in-game transformations, no real ultimate moves, not that many new characters (seriously, the only new characters that I want are Janemba, Bebi Vegeta, Bojack and Super Android 17. That's 4.. because I really couldn't care less about the Ginyui force or Chautzo or Zarbon / Dodoria orsome damn Android 19.. those are OLD characters). And the fighting doesn't look that intense as in Budokai 3. frownblue .. I'm still not sure if I should spend 60 euro on this game or not.

I agree with spiers. Old school charactors rock, but the oldest charactor is goku, so if you think dodoria, zarbon, chautzu, ginyu force and ouzaru are old, then what planet are you from? Chautzu has never been in any dbz game before so how can you say that he is old? weirdblue Whereas guldo, jeice and burter........this is their fighting game debut. And Ouzaru......so what is he is no bigger than broly, he can still fight and kick some butt. In my opinion, this game is going to laugh in the face of all the other dbz games, including budokai 3. C'mon, you know what I meant.. guys like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and so on never get old, because their simply cool. I'm sure you'll agree. And I'm one of those who hate to see Hercule even throwing a punch at SuperSayian4 Goku. I want realistic fights. That's why I won't be using those Giniyu-guys and Chautzu so much, because there's almost no one they could fight against. But it is possible that that's just me.

Oozaru is a little bit bigger than Broly.

No in-game Transformations doesn't bother me one bit, sure it would be nice but just get over it -_-

Thats like saying "Just get over it that the guys in the game can't fly". Transformations are a important part of Dragon Ball Z.

It just bothers me that everyone's acting like this game is going to be perfect. When we all know that it's not true. There are some downsides, and we should face it instead of pretending it's perfect and couldn't be any bether. Because it could. I'm not saying it will be bad, in fact it'll probably be pretty good. But not perfect.

I'd say the graphics in Budokai 3 are better. At least for the characters, don't know about the envirement and background. But for example SSJ4 Goku doesn't look as "powerful" as in Budokai 3. :S.. for some reason.

Thats like saying "Just get over it that the guys in the game can't fly". Transformations are a important part of Dragon Ball Z.

It just bothers me that everyone's acting like this game is going to be perfect. When we all know that it's not true. There are some downsides, and we should face it instead of pretending it's perfect and couldn't be any bether. Because it could. I'm not saying it will be bad, in fact it'll probably be pretty good. But not perfect.
Of course the game has things that could be better. In-Game transformations would be nice of course but it doesn't make the game worse does it? The major thing about it is the fully 3D Camera angles. Well for me, and some other people, it actually makes the game a bit worse. Because in-match transformation is something that makes the game different from other fighting games, u know. At least that's how I think. I just don't understand why they would take away something that important. I mean, having no IG transformations doesn't make the game better at all. Not for anyone. (Sure it's nice to be able to start as SSJ4 Gogeta but.. that just takes away the feeling about it. :/ )
But sure, the new camera angles and gameplay are the things most people care about, including me. Thank's to 3D gameplay I will still be buying Tenkaichi. But.. I'm not as excited about the game as I could be. But oh, whatever. :p

But one thing I REALLY hope they haven't taken away is the different attack percent for the characters. Like SSJ4 Gogeta has 180%, a normal Super Saiyan's got 110%, Super Buu's got 140% after absorbing Gohan and so on. If everyone's got 100% in Tenkaichi then.. eekblue: I won't buy it.

The release date in Europe (Well at least in Finland) was october 14th, but now it seems like the game's gonna be released 21st.. that's what some people said. Dunno really.
