Yet another problem with the bugs scene

I'm stuck in the part where the giant bug starts choking from behind the cubicle you and you have to hit left-right really fast to counter the pressure.
For the life of me, I simply cannot beat it (I even tried changing to an 'easy' difficulty setting)! I manage to reach very close to the end of the bar, but he still gets me every time (for not being quick enough, I guess)! :mad:

I played the exact same scene on a friend's xbox, and I beat it there on my first try! why must it be so hard on the PC?
Is there any solution to this problem (the puddle scene, which featured the exact same gameplay mechanics, was quite hard too), other than using a controller instead of a keyboard for those sequences, or am I doing it all wrong?

Please, please help me out with this problem :(
I nearly split my keyboard in half out of frustration..

Either this is a problem with the game, or a problem with me (I'm a fairly seasoned gamer, and hard games such as Ninja Gaiden never really bothered me). either way, I simply can't enjoy the game anymore as I am unable to pass those 'pressure' scenes (the lake one was quite hard, but not as hard as this one).

If it's something that will be fixed in a patch (or if it can be coped with by other means), please let me know.. I'm starting to consider returning it to the store, which is a shame, because so far the game was nothing short of amazing.

You don't have to get the pointer all the way to the end - just almost, but then you have to keep up the speed a while, untill the task is completed. If you slow down or stops, you get "failed".
This means - it's better to be a bit slower and be able to keep up the speed.
I'm also playing on PC with no problems here (or similar places) - unless I get tired or distracted and slow down.

exactly, you don't need full speed the whole way

Just keep it in the dark blue, just inside the last section and you will be fine.

Don't kill yourself trying to keep it full for the whole way or you won't last the rest of the bashing bits hehe :)

Ah, I see - I thought I was on a time limit, as I always died in the exact same moment (slightly after you scream), and that I simply wasn't fast enough :)
