I registered just now to post this thread in this official forum.

Got the game yesterday, and finished today. The first I want to say about this game:

==================
AMAZING! eekblue:
==================

+ The plot is wonderful.
+ The graphic is stunning.
+ Great audio effect, and the SOUNDTRACK!!! I am wondering where can I get these OST?
+ and, this controlling of the game is interesting, although kind of weird :wink2: but this is suitable for any player, even for my father. :)
+ Every character has his/her own personality, to some degree. love each of them :)

==================
However, there are some problems:
==================

- about the story:

In fact, I am expecting a good crime story, not a scintific one... (I have to admit that I love scifi. , but not here...) Anyone saw a film called <Dream Catcher> ? They are quite similar... Start with a mystery, and end with an alien... (In the last part of the game, some UFO stuff appeared...)

- about the frame of game:

You can not save the game anywhere anytime. This is a GOOD idea, push the player focus on the plot, as the main role in the game: you MUST be serious to make a decision, because EVERYTHING YOU DID WILL AFFECT THE FUTURE. Load&save will not work here.

But, sometimes I really want to try all kinds of the result, e.g. the different endings... so i have to play the game from the very begin to find out them?! come on...

- about the story again:

Some plots do not seem to good enough, such as:

* Carla loves Lucas in my game. How? They even didn't talk to much with each other... and they have a baby?! god...

* About the A.I. I know the oracle, who wants to ... do something evil... but what is the A.I???? where did they come from? and what about the UFO? Are they a part of the story? or just let the Lucas become a superman...

==================
Suggestions
==================

* The graphic is good enough, and it does not need a high-end PC. Actually I play this game on my 1.6G/512M laptop, it is fast, which the highest configuration. So no more suggestions on the graphics tonguegre

* The same situation with sound.

* About the control... More details on the contolling should be introduced... I lost quite a few stuff at the beginning due to supid manipulating the game...

****
The story line.

Let the characters communicate with other more, and reveal MORE stories between them. The childhood memory of the Kane brother is a good example. But about the Tiffany & Lucas, Sam & Tyler, maybe more information can be provided, so, I will 'lover' these girls from my heart (I am a guy). Anyway I like Tiffany and Sam, so I chose each decision to save/good to them.

Need some 'bad guy', or, 'not so good guy', such as Jeffery, who is really annoying. lol, I don't like it, but the world of the game may be more realistic.

If a girl loves a boy, please make more preparation... do not let them go to bed immediately, please... (Although i like these kinds of scene :laugh: beautiful.)

==============

By the way, who has researched the game completely? How different if I choose different actions/decisions during the game? How many different endings of this game? David said, everything you do will have different result. Really? How different?

Somebody thinks this game should be made into a film. Yeah, the fighting scenes are quite suitable for movie... like Matrix... flying around, and superman activity... However, they ending is so.... amazing, too amazing for a crime film/game...

Thank you very much for reading my long thread. If you agree/disagree me, feel free to reply, as long as you love this game!!

Oops. forgot one question:

What's the meaning of 'Fahrenheit' ? It should be Germany. Orignally it is the name of the scientist who invented the temperature. But here, in this game, what's the meaning?

In the game all of the world become extremely cold, is this something about it?

* The game didn't tell much about the suddenly cold, except alwasy in the news of each roles' computer... but the 'end of world' is so quick.... and without any signs.... and detail...

I would guess that the title Fahrenheit has to do with the temperature and how the temperature relates to the main story (don't want to give anything away, but if you finished the game, you know why the temperature was dropping).

It's a good title because it doesn't really give anything about the story away for people who are buying it...When you play it you understand.

Also, the game had more nude scenes and just pure sex scenes that the widely talked-about GTA San Andreas (which I also just finished the other week!)

I mean, there really aughtta be a 18+ labeling on this game fur sure.
Guess they (Atari) are focussing on a male audience huh? :wink2:

BTW: I felt the game was wayyy too easy. I finished it in what, five days, if even that... Bah. Too bad, I'd love to known more about what really was in the hangar and where the clans came from. What happened to Jade etc...

Guess we'll ahve to wait for the sequel. :)

True... it is easy... i finished it in 2 days.... :P

I found the trace of some films in this game:

'Matrix'... -- The kung-fu things...

'The day after tomorrow'.. -- now, i still do not know why entire world became extremely cold.... such a sudden thing...

'X-Files' -- The UFO, radiation stuff...

'Dreamcatcher' -- from a mytery towards a sci-fi story...

:wink2: Just for fun. lol

yes, definatly the Matrix...it looks as if the writer/developer watched the Matrix series right before he finished writing the game, then packed in all that kung fu before the end because it was "cool" in the Matrix...

its not just the kung fu that they drew inspairation from its the sub story like lucas kane has been readiated with chroma the all mighty powerfull source of unlimited strength i mean just like neo he is the one carrys the "code" that makes him stronger and faster and more perfull than anyone the 2 storys are identical and both eqauly cool Fahrenheit just made it more humanly possibloe cuz if you think about apart from the AI everything in the game could possibly happen like the alien thing roswell and area 51 the oracle is a little bit harder but some people belive black magic still exsists and as for the ai for go sake we got computers/well servers that can practicaly look after there self so ya know that why we all love this game for me it was kinda short i completed it within 7 hours of buying it but i hammer all my games and ive been a gamer since i could hold a joypad:)

Well, i think it's not a big deal, almost every films/games are moving towards Matrix...

The Fahrenheit is too eager to gather all of the best stuff together, so kind of obvious that they really want to make a 'composition' rather than 'creation'... a typical example is the AI... they just add it into the plot without any signs...

Just some opinion, I think they made hard work to give us such a good game. I love them!

Well lets face it

The first Chapter is AWESOME from Story
but
The Chapter near the end of the game sucked...The Scenario becomes too much Hollywood Science fiction with a lot of gaps in story

Yea but i see this as no bad thing, the main thing is to enjoy it !!! I know I did. Maybe the sequel will answer a few things, if there is one. Either way I don't care.

To littlelio

You played the game and still don't know the plot ???

The A.I is the leader of the Purple Clan, and want's the Indigo Child (Jade) to have ultimate power and be like a GOD. So does the oracle, who is the one man army (sort of) the Orange Clan.

You also talk about UFO's :hin:

eeeeeeh. i played they game several times now, finished it 10+ times and i've never ever seen an UFO :p

Little strange u did see one.

littlelio

Er... I didn't see the UFO. The supernature abilities of Lucas was caused by UFO matters, wasn't it.

The AI things... I know they want to be god... (each bad guys want to be god :laugh: ) But such a sudden... anyway

One more question,

About the Kirsten case, which was sent to Carla via e-mail. Who sent this??? I thought should be A.I., because they can control the network. lol but why? They should not let too much ppl involve in the case, why give Carla a hint??

montnoir

The Invisibles sent Carla the e-mail about Kirsten. They believed she would uncover the truth and help Lucas.

...and they were right.

Yup,

And the thing at the end (Lucas and Marcus say it MAY BE a UFO, in his flashbacks)

It is actualy a well of life, like the lifeforce of the earth. That's what he sees in the game, and not any UFO :)
And because Lucas was in contact with that lifeforce (while he was still in his mothers womb) That is the reason he has his so called "powers"

Well, I commend David Cage for wanting to turn videogames into interactive stories. It's pretty much what I think videogames should be. Though my main problem with the game is the action sequences. For a game that tries to make the player more in touch with their character, the action sequences does the opposite. How does pressing up on a circle make you dodge traffic, punch a cop, etc? It felt more like a mini-game. I think Fahrenheit needs to take a look at the 24 Game to see how you can include action without sacrificing interactivity. (Which also has a much better interrogation sequence that would improve Fahrenheit's "Suspicion/Questioning" sequence.

On the PS2, the graphics and controls are just ****.
