NOW IAM stuck at luces flat and there is a storm when i try left/right button bashing i fail every time
any help ?
bash harder :)
I'm afraid there's no trick to it, just bash away.
I use the default arrows, and tap the left arrow with my R/H index finger and the right with either my R/H index or pinky sometimes.
Just go for it

And remember it's more important to get a steady (high) speed, than to get it to the end of the last section.
My worse part was to move the hands quickly from left/right tapping, to the "colour-jumping-stuff". But I realised it I lost the first coulor it didn't really matter ;->
i cant get pass this bit either. its beginning to get very annoying i've tried bashing and going at a steady pace but nothing works its a shame cos soon i'm just going to get too annoyed at it and stop trying frownblue

I had this same problem. I found a fix on the American forums. Turn down your resolution. I had mine at 1280x1024 and I died at that part of the action sequence within 1 or 2 seconds. I brought the resolution down to 800x600 and it was much, much easier. Got through it on my first try.
I play at 1280x1024 and had no problems with button-press scenes

yeah. but some people are slower than others and theres a potential danger that they destroy their keyboards by bashing into the keys left/right :)
Changing the resolution wouldn't make it any easier I imagine...

there would be lucky 17" flatscreen-owners and sad 15"-owner... eekblue:

I didn't think it would change a thing either. But with 1280x1024 I was mashing my hardest and I got it maybe up 1 or 2. Then I brought it down to 800x600 and in the same amount of time and mashing I almost had the meter full.
I also noticed the whole sequence was faster. Maybe it's because I have the rest of the video options pushed past what my machine can normally handle.
All I know is it worked. I did everything different but with a lower resolution and it worked.

o.k. luck in this time I would say...
But no opportunity for people who got a computer which supports 1280x1024 with highest details @ ~60fps :) like me.. :wink2:

It was not luck. Don't treat me like a child.

No no at least what I have read and what worked for me is slower steady EQUAL right and left works much better on any skill level of this game.
thanks for the fix. i lowed my res to 800x600 and did it first time without losing any lives :)

Thw thing that happend is that almost evry one that this fix works for is pushing there machine way to far... weirdblue
so your frame rate (and thus your control reaction time) is wat lower then normal so if you pres 6 times it only registers 2 of them
I;m serious about this it happend on my other PC I installed this on and checked the frame rate.. it was lower then 30fps ... so that whas al there whas to it its a graphical game and some of the options just eat you cpu time away...

This boosted my ego. That makes me a rather sad person, doesn't it? tonguegre

You mean something like resolve or self-control? No such luck. Whilst playing the game I can heard giving out little screams of terror.
Dont stop pressing L and R until the sequence ends - I got caught out a few times by getting to the Max on the meter then stopping - this isnt the idea though - sometimes you have to susteain it. PS - on the XBox with it's long travel trigger buttons the task is hard as nails.

Yep, but for the Xbox version, you don't have to fully pull the trigger, even a very light pressure is enough, the important thing is to fully release it before pressing it again rolleyesa
Yeah, this stupid button bashing thing has got me totally stuck as well.
I'm 90% sure it's all the graphical effects, especially the wind that's killing my frame rate. Basically the FPS drops alarmingly from time to time, causing me to fail the button mashing.
I've tried lowering the resolution right down, and turning off all graphical options, but the frame rate is still flaky.

"I'm 90% sure it's all the graphical effects, especially the wind ..."
I would have to agree my older video drviers gave out at that spot too with repeated crashes, one of the hair pulling experences that lead me to start making many more saves to prevent unecessary replay due to no fault of my own, btw my card is ATI and I had to use the newest 5.9 to get the game to run as well as it could.
Dont forget you can also reduce your difficulty settings as well.
I have upgraded to the Catalyst 5.9 drivers, it's a Radeon 9800 I have.
I've got the difficulty set to easy, and the graphics set as low as it will go.
Now when the frame rate is stable, I can easily do the L/R stuff, but it keeps going really low from time to time, which means it doesn't register the buttons, hence the L/R sequences are very hard, and I simply cannot get past them, one in particular.

Mine is a 9800 pro too :)
Well it is certianly possible that your sound drivers can lag your game as well, how are you setup?
Are you using onboard sound or sound card and is which ever updated drivers as well?
Dont forget some motherboards require dirvers, especially VIA chipset boards.
mdr1 I finally discovered how to solve the L/R bashing problem. It's all about the visual effects settings.
If you change the resolution to "800x600" and the Graphic Level to "Low" it's extremely easy to pass any scene.
I've been trying to pass through the "Lucas' Apartment" scene one month and it was impossible. Once I changed these settings it was very easy.
I hope it's useful for anyone. mdr1
