actually if you have a B3 save on your memory card with omega saved (unlike me :noooo: ) he is available for 2player mode :)

maybe they should have made all the games in a series like
"Budokai Tenkaichi" All dbz characters featured ever, like 100 but not basic earthlings, just as low as group members and tournament entrances then a "Budokai TEnkaichi 2" Just the same with the GT chars. then and other for dragonball.
But spiers is right, of course there are limitations :respect:

* Will there be a code system :hin:

And no Omega, yes there is a shield/ barrier thign in arena's stropping you going to far, if you are thrown into it I assume it may hurt a little but if you stand near it (like in Devil May Cry 3) then a hand or anything won't hurt you.

And no, there's not a single dragon in Budokai Tenkaichi. Which of course sucks frownblue Anyone else think that the roster in Tenkaichi could've been a lot better? There were more new cool characters in Budokai 3.. Broly, Cooler, Bardock, SSJ4 Goku / Vegeta, SSJ4 Gogeta, Omega Shenron.. just to mention a few. And in Tenkaichi? 4 guys. Janemba, Bebi Vegeta, Super Android 17, Bojack. The rest are worthless characters like the whole Ginyu force ( :o ), Android 19 ( :o :o ) Chaotzu ( :o :o :o ). And oh yeah, the Oozarus. But those who have seen them fight, knows that they could've made them a lot better (and bigger).
But well, whatever :p We'll just have to live with it.

I especialy like what they have ond with the Ultra Super Sayins vegeta and Trunks their a tad slow but wow they make killing someone easy as pie rolleyesa
also hehe there are some chars I haven't unlocked yet so I'll see what they are ^_^

They've really made them slow in the game too? That would be great. :) I'd like to have it as realistic as possible.

nah al chars have ther eown speed this has 1 big disatvantage though I played against a friend today he played as erhm I think it whas USSJ Trunk and I as Chiatsu and I won becaeuse he couldn't even catch me ........

Oh, okay. :p But I think that's a good thing, since Ultra Super Sayians are supposed to bee a bit slower as we all know.

Normaly I would say yes but he played this game to its limits in 2 days... so I would think he's bether since I only played like 6 hours when I defeated him weirdblue

Well then it's just that Chaotzu is that much faster than UUSJ Trunks :p Which doesn't bother me.
Yeah, I read about how important dashing is in the IGN review. But one thing I'd REALLY like to know is: Can you dodge in Tenkaichi? since I haven't seen any dodging in the clips I've seen. eekblue:
If you mean teleport dodging/superspeed dodging then yes. I have a video on my computer where its Gohan vs Cell and cell does Special Beam Cannon and gohan just manages to dodge but it's so close it's literally like almost on him lol. He just disappeared before it hit him. Damn Lucky.

I don't know what I'd do if I found out that you can't even dodge in Tenkaichi weirdblue No in-game transformations, no in-game fusions, no real ultimate moves, an average roster, no cell-shading, no code-inserting and now.. no dodging? confusedb (And btw, I could continue the list even further).

What are you TALKING about? The graphics are Cell-Shaded, There are codes, there are ultimate moves, there is a more than average roster AND yes, there is dodging,blocking and teleporting. Haven't you seen the "Gohan vs Cell" video?

Umm, IMO the graphics aren't cell shaded in the same way as in the two previous Budokais. But yeah okay, I'll admit that the graphics are still pretty sweet in Tenkaichi. So never mind that :p
Are there codes? Cool. I've just heard people saying that there wouldn't be codes.
But there's no real ultimate moves. And by that I mean attacks like in Budokai 3. Vegetas Big Bang Attack lasts for 3 seconds. Nothing like in B3. Well yeah, I've seen the spirit bomb and it looks pretty cool but.. nothing compared to Budokai 3 ; (.
And GREAT if there's dodging. Wouldn't have buyed the game otherwise.

Everything sounds nice, except for the attacks.. frownblue Coz I've seen both the Big Bang Attack and Kid Gohans Masenko, and hard to believe that they're called "Super finishing moves" weirdblue And don't they have more signature moves than that? Warp Kamehameha, Final Flash? KaioKen?
But except for that it sounds sweet :)

al the moves you would expect a char to have are there I even seen a few that where only performed once in th eentire anime (and they where even just filler there not in the manga AT all...)

wel let me say this in Z battle gate the longest time you geth is 120 (or its ifinite)
but mostly you defeat a char in 30 to 40 secs (or the abjective is to survive till the time runs out :rolleyes: ) but in B3 you lets say fusion time whas about 20 secs... so I don't think You will mis it in this game also ... it woul be HARD to do that with the control setup they chose (nothing AT al like B but stil after 10 mins of ingame play and whatchin the copmplete totorial I goth the hang of it :)

I'll give you 1 tip on that one choose camera B in the option menu that one is a bit above you char and not right in his back al the time (witch can meanly just block the gamer from seeing his enemy at the begining of the fight...)
also it works Hiding in water and behing a mountain and searching for someones Ki really like how they have done that gives a more authentik feel to it :)
so is the z battle gate any gd? better than b1b2b3?

and unlocking al sorts of goodies in the proces :) like more battle stages more saga / movies
I really like the one about Bardock ^_^ its a bit made up but its a nice way to tell his story (I'm not giving away anything weirdblue )

iīm fighting #19 in Z battle gate and i lose almost at the beginning of the match because of his rush attack.could someone give me a few tips.
oh and i have passed big ape vegeta and these kinds of things....

when 17 rushes at you just press square or do a finishing move like kamehameha(don't know who your fighting with in that part of the game haven't been there yet) this usualy makes him stop rushing and makes an opening for some more finishing attacks (just shoot finishing attack press L2 to power up a bit and before he can stand up shoot another finisher thats an easy way to beat any enemy in this game)

The shorter Ultimate moves help keep the pace of the game going, movies and scripted sequences are annoying.

Let me sum up this thread... Hardly any of the features that made Budokai 3 successful are included in Tenkaichi. eekblue: So, in other words, they've spoiled it. sour: And, worst of all, you can't even dodge. I thought it would be obvious that you could, but none of the videos that I've downloaded show one dodge. Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad: No dodging? What, is this a joke? I thought that not having in-game transformations was bad enough... frownblue Budokai 3 will always rule, thanks to Dimps.
Does anybody know if you can dodge? I need video proof. sour: Don't give up yet, you may still be able to dodge... In Budokai 3 trailers, I've seen no dodging. The trailers don't do the games any justice, and miss out the best features.
But you can dodge attacks even punches. If you have enough energy you can teleport away by pressing the "O" button on the correct time.

I don't know there is a video of it, but I dodge attacks like the Kamehamea and allot of other attacks all the time. It's very easy.

Well, you should be able to... So far, I've seen beam struggles, and the part when the characters engage in fast combat. :) So far, I've seen no dodging. :cry2:

No you need to press Square rapitdly I tried doing the spinning of the sticks didn't work :p also when you unlock him you'll geth why its square

Nah its a sequance of buttons you need to press to fly away safly or be trown to the ground very hard and that wil take more damage
also if you press the first set correct you geth another set to teleport your self behind you enemy and automaticly do a Finishing move in their back :p very cool

and in this game you press O not X and you can even hand slap ki blast away if your s supersayin you can even Slap away finishin moves like deadball :p very cool
And if your not a super sayin just fire your own finishing move to beam strugle your way out of it :)

there isn't really an item system you have potara yellow equipment and thats only for Ultimate battle, VS mode and world tournament but it al works automaticly
if you rember Yakon from B3 there the mytical beast yakon yellow potara and it has the exact same effect:)

It cud do sumet about the levels the characters at. I recall a video talkin about how u customize ur characters, makin em stronger, faster, powerful, etc.
I think if u play the character in normal, then all attributes r the same.
This is a just a guess. I dont hav the game yet, but once I figure out why USSJ Trunks is faster, Ill post.

Does anyone know how spirit bomb will work. Will you have to always pick normal goku in order to use spirit bomb since theres no in-game transformations. Also if you pick either SSJ,SSJ2,SSJ3,SSJ4 goku do you know if spirit bomb will become Super DragonFist instead.

Warp Kamehameha makes me laugh cause of the shocked look the character gets when Goku launches it in their face. Especially Raditz.

also the teen trunks (future trunks) ssj ultimate is very cool :)

Yeah, but I thought in GT Goku's 10x Kamehameha was always red.
Also another thing I heard is that Cell's Spirit Bomb is blue instead of green like it was in B3, is this true cause i think the green spirit bomb looked pretty cool.
