View Full Version : My miracle how I defeated the Great Ape
I know it's the thing stopping many folk completing the saiyan saga. And then moving in the bardoack story in battle gate. The most annoying type of stage in the game is when you have to survive till the time runs out.
How I defeated great ape!!!!!:
*As soon as the match starts, jump up high and levitate with R1 tapped twice.
*Gather energy as you're getting to the top by pressing L2
*As the great ape comes up, attack it with your finishing move
*Repeat this till the time runs out
(Remember. Oozaru can catch you fast it won't work all the time. Also block his energy beams with O button because he can catch you)
It worked for me it may not work for you. Also Orion probably knows a much better way because orion has been playing longer. Post easier methods if you can.

By finisher do you mean Spirit Bomb, never charge for that.
Just fire Kamehameha and charge, then rinse and repeat.

KAmehame is a finisher that's what I meant. Spirit bomb is a super finisher lol

Don't fly up in the air, just stay on the ground and fire continuous Kamehamehas.

Air is better because he'll be on the ground powering up and when you use kamehameha. Great Ape will try to come up to you but the kamehameha will knowk great ape back down again so you have time to power up before he gets back up.
Also Nirvana phoenix do u know if great ape vegeta and gohan are to seperate slots or just differnt costumes in ther character list

Kid Gohan's Great Ape is a seperate character while Vegeta's Great Ape is a transformation when you press up or down on Vegeta (Scouter)

Kid Gohan's Oouzaru isn't a transformation for Gohan, it's a seperate character, like Kid Gohna and Teen Gohan are. Vegeta's Oouzaru is his transformation.
I have 51 out of the 56 characters, I need the True World Tournament battle gate.
I unlocked all I have now yesterday, I just need the stuff from the dragon.

Check the list I posted, I forgot that Vegeta's Oouzaru was a for not char so 52 outta 56, you?

I tried that, but when I got to the top i used the finishing move, but it didn't hit the ape, then the ape come up hit me down and used his and I died :mad: madred:

I have one that I just thought of, it's minor though:
If the aim is to stay alive before the time runs out then just keep attacking make sure your opponent doesn't use their finishing move oh and remember BLOCK (O)

So this is spam.I made a perfect stratedgy on how to survive vegeta ouzaru for 60 seconds wayyy bhetter and easier then yours.
p.,s Orion is not the only one that has Completed the game and has played ti for long.There are many others. rolleyesa
all you have to do to surive 60 against vegeta ouzaru is:
fly behind a rock far away and keep a distance from that rock (not to far or else he might just fly to you and jump over the rock and pound you).Charge your ki to max.Then press L2 + X (dash button), to do a Super Dragon dash.then fly like heck around away from ouzaru vegeta.Becareful the Super Dragon dash uses your ki.So when your running low on ki land on a safe spot while ouzaru veegta is charging then, charge your ki up to max again and then do the same action again and again countinues until the 60 seconds run out.And there you have it and perfect stratedgy to escape vegeta ouzaru and survive.

There is a much better way much more effective.
just hold triangle until he fires a big blast and it will know the oozaru down then do it again and he will be knocked into a corner, keep doing this until the timer runs out

Yer make a wish on the dragonballs.Also this method worked on Kid Buu just now woo hoo. Also if you haven't gathered enough ki when your enemy catches up to you keep randomly pressin square and triangle, you will knowck the opponent a way and gain the ki you nee mdr1

I thought you only had to do that with ss3 goku. do the same with vegeta. But hercule can't so beams so don't do that. Still fly high but when Buu catches up to you don't attak hold down and the direction of the screen your fighting from along with the circle button e.g (If you're on the right side, hold down right and circle but repeatedly press circle through the whole match

Jes ta let u know ive survived everyone and the best way to do it is to gog on an all out offensive dont give them time to recover like by pressin triangle in the combo if they blok itll lower their ki rolleyesa helps if u fly after em and knok em away but dont use finishin moves leaves u open :nono:

here is the best way to do it, press sqaure two times then X, he is stunned then repeat, he does not avoid or block the hits and all u have to do is this till timer runs out its sooo easy

no that dosent work well what i did is i i charged at him jumped then was behind him turnt around fired loads and kamamhmas and then when he came to close i just chrged back and kamehamaed him on the floor again if u are having to much troubble just change the game to medium thats what i did
I ran like hell
and for the oozaru vs oozaru I beat him up by tapping square alot
I have 100% On everything :P
