View Full Version : Password Option is a useless feature IMO.

What do you think about it?.Ok it may be a fairly good feature if you have started your game and already collected the dragonballs, within your first few hours of gameplay. But that then takes away the excitement of getting new characters as you progress through the game.
Even if you did do a password it will only make a slight difference in statistics from using the unlockable character you get from just playing BT.
I was looking forward to be able to use Budokai 3 characters but you cannot, and also seeing if the speed/attack of the character/s increase a bit. But it does very liitle you would not notice. Also i was hoping i could use the capsules from budokai 3, like father son kamehama, but you can't do that either.
A really useless option altogether.
Correct me if i am wrong and you see things differently.

OK, how do the tournaments work? Stats can only go up to 7 in BT, its not as if though a level 99 goku can beat a level 60 goku with ease, as he would on budokai 3, com vs com.

Still, i see no favourable answers concerning why passwords are usefull just in the game. By the time people had, well mostly gamefaq members found out about the password option, they already had most characters/forms. I mean they could of atleast let the statistics reach 99, why 7. It sound and seems pointless.

password is brilliant when i put my vegeta in all his stats were level 7, so all i did was put in yellow protaras and space +3 so he has full stats and max ki with a little combo i found out(starts with max)

I totally agree with LDZY, it's completely useless, I wont be unlocking it unless i'm really bored, or just in the mood to get my Trunks back, but what would be the point? Since (As he stated) the attributes are different and he would react completely different to the other games.

i think the code system on bt is totaly pointless! i mean, sure if u could enter bt charictors on it it would be very excellent, but since u cnt, its pointless :cry2:
Why have a code system. Where's the fun in letting a computer fight for you when you put all that hard work in? There's no point in it. Basically if you win a tournament that's just because you trained a computer, there's no skill involved at all. rolleyesa

non password just say your character and the capsules you want and you gather 8 ppl and do the toruny on duel mode. like this:

I also think it's pointless, I see no fun in having the password section, just plain boring.
Why are we comparing on how many think it's good or bad? The forum is for any amount of views to be presented, if you can't handle the views of people then this isn't the place for you. We're all different equally. ;)

You have not played Budokai 3?If not i would not bother buying it, BT is better. The only thing B3 is good at, is that it tells the story allot clearer than BT.

And it has Omega Shenron and if your used to 2D fighting its better also not to forget the awesome moves which unlike Tenkaichi are alot better

The moves on Budokai 3 get very annoying after a while, thats why i prefer the short and sweet BT moves :).

There aren't many moves in BT and most of the moves in there are copied like vollies and high speed rush

The few extra z points you would get if you did a password, would only be maybe 2-3 and no real need as there is limited other yellow capsules, and you would not need them to complete the game anyway.
I ain't got this game yet and don't no exactly how it works but the whole concept of the password system sucked from the beginning,even in Budokai 3. As yamcha said there is no skill what so ever in letting a comp do your fighting so spike or whoever is doing the next dbz game PUT AN ONLINE FEATURE WILL YOU!!
