What is Haloween day? i see it only sometimes in movies and all but really i don't get this: ''trick or treat''
Does anyone know the history of Haloween?

To all who celebrate Halloween: Happy Halloween!

''trick or treat''
*makes the door open*
Me: Now why did those kids run away? muahahahahaha

it's today for the countries of the commonwealth, it's a very popular festival, especially to USA, but the concept starts to be exported in Europe. Lol, for example, the phenomenon lasts since now 3 years in France, and yesterday many children were disguised for the occasion, and some struck with my door so that I give them candies. But to the origin, halloween is a festival from Ireland.

I find Halloween a very pointless holiday. Its not fun exactly, and were not celebrating anything. Except the fact that hundreds of years ago, many innocent women were burned for being 'Witches'.

My friends find it a blast since they buy fireworks. Theres this very very small village called Maghervielly that turns into a war zone every Halloween.

Dear oh dear.

It's actually a pagan celebration, google will give you all the information you need (as for everything else rolleyesa )

Tonight I'm going to be thrown out of a halloween ghost walk around London. I know it'll happen. I'm pretty sure that my friend Simon is going to fall in a grave and we'll all start laughing to tears and we'll be asked to leave

In 2001, after the September 11 attacks, for example, costumes of firefighters, police officers, and United States military personnel became popular among children.
Is it me or there's something intrinsically wrong? :mefiant:

Found this on AOL...

More Britons believe in ghosts than in God, according to new research.

Some 68 per cent of those polled for a survey said they believed in the existence of ghosts and spirits - while only 55 per cent said they believed in the existence of a God.

Twenty-six per cent said they believed in UFOs, 19 per cent in reincarnation and four per cent in the Loch Ness Monster. And 12 per cent said they thought they had actually seen a ghost.

Just over three quarters (76 per cent) said that TV shows such as Most Haunted and films including The Blair Witch Project had played a part in convincing them that spooks and ghouls really exist.

The poll of 2,012 people was carried out in advance of Halloween by entertainment retailer ChoicesUK.

Spokesman David Rich said: "We want to believe in ghosts more than ever and are far more likely to take the word of a reality documentary or convincing movie than hearsay or ancient ghost stories.

Argg...all this teaches kids is that it's alright to knock on peoples door and ask for money. I find it annoying as hell when little kids knock on my door asking for sweets, i'm tempted to get out some sort of weapon and show them a real trick. sour: How the hell is it right to celebrate people dying? Thats something a world terrorist would do, not a quiet community.

In Holloween spirit, I thought I'd make This (http://www.24thegame.com/buck/strayedHalloween.htm).

I hid a message in it too, so listen carefully to it. It will say a URL to a bonus page.

I didn't add a preloader, so broadband is seriously needed.
