No Sound

The game runs smoothly and is playable but throughout there is no sound??

I have a Creative Live! 5.1 sound card and Surround sound speakers which play other games and movies fine.

Anyone else get this issue?

i have a similar problem i have a soundblaster Audigy 2 and although i do get sound.. the dialogue is cut short when they speed you either hear the forst spoken work or just the first milisecound.. everything has the latest drivers.. these 2 problems may need to the same fix

I have no sound either, please someone tell how to fix it. Its annoying. :chapeau:

Go the start menu, then execute, type: dxdiag

On sound you can set normal acceleration, etc, try some feature, should work

i managed to sort my sound out.. all i did was put my resolution onto a higher setting.. and the sound is as clear as day.. funny how that happens...

For those with sound problems and Creative cards (and mainly out of curiosity) - are you using the beta OpenAL drivers (dated Sep. 05) or the previous full release driver?

From reports round t'internet, it seems that there may be issues involving these drivers with Starship Troopers and also Bet On Soldier, but hopefully that will be fixed in the next full WQHL driver release :)
