Shiny messed up another matrix game? :|.. any developer daring to answer?

well.. i bought the game today...and im going to return it tomorrow.
I was really excited, a new matrix game!! Choose your own Path! play as neo! ...im a big fan of the matrix series, and i was dieing to get my hands on a copy of this game! This would really make me forget the extremely disappointing Enter the Matrix!

Well... no.
Shiny entertainment ****ed up this game to!

why?

well.. there is hardly any freedom, i cant even choose wich abilities i want myself, i get the choice out of 2 of em...
They used the havoc engine..so everything can be destroyed!! really cool..
But they messed up the entire engine.. the game really lags as hell.. (not depending on settings) .. it seems above video setting 8 the game cant be played normally because it starts using pixelshading 3. Well..ok. But how about state that somewere? I couldnt know this.
So..than i wanted to use video quality 8, and i wanted to customize some configuration...well...you cant customize video configuration.

Besides lagging as hell, the game is also really ugly. Blur effects are nice..but not to throw an filet over the entire game! Cool reflections? not in this game..lol :P

And the gameplay itselfe? ah well..the combat is nice :).. the shooting is just as crappy as in enter the matrix (ah well..almost than:P) .. There is like a huge crosshair in the screen, and when firing the guns shoot some kind of a yellow ****.. thats NOT how gunfire looks..lol :P

Its funny to see how they manage to make the game looke beautifull on the gamebox.. promising all kind of cool things.. and finally delivering a worthless game..wich will sell fine because of the things promised on the box!

Anyway.. you developers could have made it a lot easyer for yourself, and more pleasant for us if u would have just used the Max Payne engine!

Even the max payne mods are like 10 times more fun, and better playable as this game... really...

Well... i challenge any of the developing team to come down to this forum and react here.. i am really wondering why this is released right now... its just unfinished, not fun, laggy, and it looks like a game from 2001...

I'm playing it on PS2.

Ironically, I was totally impressed with the smoothness - not the slightest hint of lag on the PS2.

because the lagg is not appaering due to pc configuration, but its a game-related problem..

I don't think I've ever played a PS2 game that has lagged.... maybe the occasional FPS on the PSX... but not the PS2, they're good like that :bravo:

Actually i have got quite a lot of lag even on the PS2 version which is impressive, will be in the middle of fighting and it will slow down massively (and no im not talking about using focus lol) or even pause for a few seconds altogether. And now im stuck in some strange room without any opponent, a door, or anything. Hmm. Well played Shiny tbh.

for a start, atari might check this forum but i doubt shiny will, and by the sounds of it mate it them you have an issue with. i really enjoy this game, it does get a little repeatative but what game doesnt?did have some issues, but once you get past all that, it works a dream, since i got my new geforce i can have it on 9 or 10 so im super happy.

and as for your soft shadows on fear tonguegre i used to have fear runnin on my old setup (amd64 3500+, gig ram, 256 ati x800 (dual) and it made mine lag, only now i have the new geforce (dual as of next monday :)) will i beable to run the game on high

yeh this game was soo rushed in time for christmas if this game dont work by the next patch im thinking getting atari to refund my money coz game wont give me my hard earned cash back to be honest i think everyone with a rpoblem should goto the atari head quaters and demand there cash back

Lmao, i got mine set to 8. 9 and 10 are unplayable, this aint my computer, but im not fust, its still a good game. Graphics are fine. I think people expect to much. I do however, have a problem with atari`s new copy protection, as this stops my DVD-RW Drive from reading the disc period, I have to open / close about 5 to 6 times before it reads the crappy protection, if that fails I have to delete the temp files the protection creates in my temp folder. I just love the way no one from atari has commented on my problem. Its like "Maybe if we ignore this complaint it will go away", :-(

who are you? a developer, i just wanna say i think Atari really messed this game up and something should be done about it, im going to write to the superiors because i have just been conned out of £20.00

i mean if my system checks out to be system requirements then it should run perfectly, well ive got news, IT DOESNT!

hey istoleit, just to say i wouldnt want my money back id want the game remade, and the people who have bought it get it for free, because like i guess you like fighting as neo and playin the trilogy so i would want to be able to play it coz i like it, i think the lazy gets should get to work.

well i dunno i mite just get my money back then download it and wait for the patch its really annoying like this is the first game i bought in soo long and it like £20 in sales now thats £20 less then what i payed and for what a pice of plasitc **** that was underveloped by a pair of lazy coders gRRRRr
