so far i've been loving path of neo. i'm a big matrix fan.
i'm only up to the japanese black and white level, so not too far, and i've been just grinning ear to ear at how easy and freeform the martial arts is.

what i've been hating tho is just how poorly this game runs. i'm getting what appears to be sub around 10fps in most fights (in lowest res, and lowest detail as set in the ini file). as a benchmark, i can get 30-40fps in doom3, fear, hl2, WoW, with all settings turn up full, and aa / af on full too.

considering the relatively low detail textures and no shader support (at least in the mode i'm using) i find this kind of framerate totally unacceptable - for example, i imagine it runs smoother on ps2 ffs.

i'm on a athlon 64, 3800+, 2gb ddr pc3200, 256mb geforce6800gt.

ps, interestingly if i die, the game immediately runs back at super smoothness when it goes in to code view.

I've heard this around alot recently, but I've been running it perfectly and our systems pretty much match:

Pentium 4 3.2, 2GB d.c OCZ Platinum, 256mb ASUS Radeon 9800XT Pro

=\

I heard alot of people complain how slowly their Black and White 2 ran aswell but mine was perfect at highest levels, I don't know what I am doing so differently, I don't overclock at all.

no overclocking or anything special here. all the latest drivers as far as i know. there is a new nvidia beta driver i'll check out.

i think something wierd goes on with the game though, since i globally have overruled anti aliasing, and and all other graphic card related settings, and it appears to make no difference ingame to the quality..

also, ingame graphic settings 1, or 10, although do look different, run no faster or slower than each other. something very odd is afoot.

I think they are addressing this in the patch. Possibly it is an issue with Nvidia?

Sorry I couldn't help more
