Gamepad problems with pc version

Hiya I heard that its possible to play the game with a gamepad.. i have the ps2 adaptor thingy and use a ps2 gamepad on my computer the pad works with other games and comes up correctly working in my gamepad control panel. however when i run PON the the pad just wont work I try pressing all the buttons and moving the sticks with analog button on and off and i get nothin. I have no idea how to get this to work.

have you tried send ing ataris technical support an email, theres probable a command line you have to add to the matrix.cfg file i should think. it might not be compatable, but i havent looked :)
