does anyone know why in the GT speciel Goku doesn't look like he has a tail, infact, on the last episode why don't you see one there?oh yeah, if he doesn't have a tail either, do you think he can still go ssj4?
Toriyama-sensei forgot about the tails long after the Freeza saga, and they quickly became irrelevant, otherwise Goten and Trunks would have had one. There is more human blood in Goku Jr than Saiyan blood, though how he and Vegeta Jr can turn Super Saiyan still remains unanswered. A simple reference to Goku and Vegeta's battle?
goku jnr is 1/18 saiyan or 1/16 something like that but he still posesses the power to turn ss. :)

nooo nooo i ment do you think Goku can still go ssj4 without a tail?
Also Trunks and Goten have that power because they were both Born after their father's had gone super saiyan, well it was on tv once so i thought i'd think about it and i agree with the nutter that made it up, it's pritty much the only explanation for it.
Thanks for replying to my thread guy/gals mdr1
No way possible can Goku Jr turn SS4. As Goku supposedly is the true Legendary Super Saiyan, he reached it. Vegeta cheated it, and his transformation doesn't qualify. Goten was able to turn Super Saiyan because he was concieved while Goku was in Super Saiyan, however, Vegeta must have been nearing Super Saiyan when Trunks was concieved (he was born before Vegeta displayed his Super Saiyan transformation, though there are other ways to answer this).

I do agree with what you think there. :)

*sigh*
You could argue gentically, that the genes responsible for transformation remain dominant throughout the generations, despite the classical view of reproduction selecting chromosones at random, therefore any descendant of a Saiyan would have this ability.
This also as an argument, would quickly show that women have the ability to go SSJ as well, otherwise the argument would be null and void, since Akira Toriyama said that Saiyan women can't go SSJ, that could only be as a result of a set of genes which would negate the SSJ genes within themselves, and could only exist on the X-chromosone, given that only women couldn't transform.
However to further elaborate, the SSJ genes could not exist on the Y-chromosone, given that the descendants of Pan and Bra would have the ability to transform.
Thus the conclusion is to defy all claims made by Akira Toriyama, that women can't transform, and to blight him muhahahahaha

dude, cartoon, not science, but i do know what you mean with the chroms' and male genes.

it doesn't matter about it being a cartoon, when you're obssessed, and I'm just trying to explain that having Saiyan women unable to transform is merely sexist, and as such explain a valid reason whereby we can disregard Toriyama's information, and create the Dragonball Z world as we see fit.

When a thread is this old, there's no point in kicking it up.

Ok everyone thanks for replying to this thread, but it still doesn't answer my question, why does Goku in the end of GT have no tail and if he he doesn't then do you think he can still go ssj4?

Simple answer....it's GT it's a pile of...oooo look at that pretty flower...wait wher was I
Sure Vegeta gets a tail when he goes Golden Oozaru to SSJ4, and then it's gone when he turns normal.
The people who made GT are quite simply morons, so there's your answer :respect:

So did Goku have a tail or not and if i didn't do you think he still needs it to go ssj4?

At the very end when he was an adult, I don't think he did, and yes he would need it to go ssj4
That was the ghost of Goku just watching his descendant, it was themed like that (his lack of tail and the addition of the Nyoi-Bo and Kintoun) because it was the end and they wanted viewers to feel a bit nostalgiac. Episode 64 also takes place after the Goku Jr special.

Ok now that doesn't make any sence to me at the moment, because when Goku left with Shrenron and the DragonBalls' he was just a kid, so what's going on, why is he a ghost if he's just aged? or did he have a massive battle while everyone on earth was just getting on with their lives?

In GT Goku is transformed back into a kid again.
At the end of GT he is still a kid except at the Goku and Vegeta Jr Battle. Where he is an adult but a ghost watching his decendant.

Another simple answer, true saiyans age more slowly than humans, so he could be a ghost, but that's doubtful, since he didn't have a halo, so it's more likely he is himself.
You could also consider that since Shenron took him away, they were in a different dimension, so he would have aged differently there as well mdr1

Oh man, how many times, Goku can't be dead, he hasn't been in any fights and he's just fuc*ing aged dudes!! come on, does anyone think they'd bring out a dbz or gt where Goku is always dead (it'd be a change)but why would they kill Goku off if he just gave his great-great-grand-son (Pan's grand-son work it out)
the damn 4 star dragonball?? Goku became apart of Shenron and stuff, prob' gave him the power to just disappear and reappear where he wants, i mean he could with one of his techuiqes when he came back from that litle weirdo world.....listen everyone, i'm sorry he i'm starting to sound like to ego-sentric prick, i don't mean to be and i apologise if i've just really really pis*ed someone off.ok bye mdr1
