CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!
I SPENT THE LAST 3 GOD DAMN MONTHS PLANNING MY COURSEWORK AND THE LAST 4 WEEKS TYPING IT UP, I JUST SPENT ANOTHER HOUR WORKING ON IT ONLY TO FIND THAT THE STUPID FRIGGIN NETWORK CORRUPTED ALL MY WORK WITHOUT MAKING A BACKUP COPY, GO TO HELL MICROSOFT!
(sorry for the language but I needed an outlet for my rage and scudding the PC wouldn't be very wise)
It's because I don't trust Microsoft I keep my works in several places (all different). I have a copy on my Home PC, on my University PC and on my Pen, and the copies are updated manually by me everyday. Having 3 backup copies, hardly it will go wrong :) The worst thing that can happen is loose one day of work...
But I understand your frustration, why do you think I got this system??

Because I was logged the college's network server, which is run by microsoft. I get bloody problems all the time but this takes the *many obsene words, censored by me just in case, but you get the idea*ing biscuit.
What gets me even angrer to the point of wanting to destroy something is that today I had made my back-up copies, only to find they were corrupted by the network too!
I'm friggin screwed now, I'll never pass the course now, it took me 4 months to get and type up all the data for it to all get turned into giberish/binary *beep*, the deadline is next Friday!
eekblue: That is really serious, big problem right there eekblue:
If I had that problem, the first thing I would make would be go look for Bill gates's head and... :aie:
Jesus, 4 months of work...
dark: Let us grabe a gun and do some "Microsoft Members" hunting dark:

Glass breaks too easily, where's the fun? :mefiant:
The fun lies when you throw people through it, but I guess for proper sledie action you need bricks and mortar, although some of that armoured blast-proof glass might be a bit of a challenge
ooooh thats nasy you should of backed it up on a floppy/cd what ever! i put some coursework on my mp3! just incase anything goes wrong! may i ask what subject it was...

Buisiness Studies, and the thing is I checked my emergency backups that I mailed to 3 of my email adresses...only to find them corrupted too...I really hate that college network, its things like this that make me want to go on a small rampage with my sword, but the lack of things I wouldn't mind chopping up is at an all time low atm though which threw that stress relief idea out the window:mad:
I think that you should do that rampage, but just buy one of the GTA games to do so... You'll feel much better after naming (for example: Bill Gates) some of the pedestrians of the game and shooting them (or cut them with the sword - it exists and you can cut heads with it). Believe me I know what I'm talking about tup:

what the hell computer system corrupts files these days? mostly its in transition from one system to another, ie from Word to OpenOffice etc?
save as a txt file and do formatting in Word, last thing.
demand an upgrade of the hardware at your college. its clearly broken and out of date. run a campus political campaign on it.
theres a lot of programmers out there that will tell you your work is 90% recoverable when something goes wrong. they'd be right. talk to the IT dept. if they cant help get a note explaining the problem and get an extension on that coursework :p
if necessary, hack the principle's personal files and hold him/her to ransom on that grade A :)
Language please......... dark:
