Budokai 3 Platinum (UK)

Alright. I bought the platinum edition because the standard didn't have the "4 secret characters" or the Japanese voice-overs. By this time there not actually being any collectors editions left i got the platinum.

However, when i go to dragon arena and put in the passwords that are on the official site all i get is "Wrong Password" but im sure i'm putting in the right password.

I even deleted my B3 save and started again using only the platinum edition. Any help please.

i think it will only work in collectors edition. i dont have the original, the platinum or anything! but i completed and played the original budokai 3 many times. i think in the platinum edition, there should be just japanese voice over. i just need help like you!

Hehe, I know. However on the back of the box it says:

Original Japanese voice-over!

4 additional playable secret characters!

and? is it true? because you said the password for unlocking the 4 characters dont work :mefiant:

This is my problem. It says it has the 4 secret characters just like the collectors edition says. However, the passwords that apparantly work on the collectors edition don't work on the platinum.

I'm thinking that its possible that there are different passwords. Or maybe just unlocking Dragon Arena isn't enough. I'm going to try and get all the characters before i enter the passwords again.

It could be that i can't fight the character i need to in Dragon Arena because i havn't unlocked it.

For example, if i need to fight brolly and i havn't unlocked him then maybe that's what i need to do.

I dunno.. i'm still looking for suggestions.

ive been to a GAME store and asked them if they have collectors edition, but they dont. but they do have platinum there and i checked the back of the box. it does say it has japanese voices and 4 additional characters but since you said the passwords dont work, it could be possible they made a mistake and none of 4 additional characters are actually programed into the game. they also made a mistake with the american version of the game which is called "Dragonball Z budokai 3 greatest hits" which has japanese voices but its really nothing more than the original game, because it didnt seem to have the extra content that was promised! including the japanese voices i think.
youve probably been sorta conned and just basicly bought the original game.

i tell you what, ive been on the Wikipedia and it tells you most of the things you might need to know about this game! it might sort some of your problems out at least. i read the information, trust me, i think its quite useful and you rather know more about the game than you know now! it tells you about the secret characters and japanese voices and will give you info about probably everything. i hope it helps you, heres the link:

im p**sed off by them. is there anyway of contacting dimps or atari online?
because this is taking the p*ss. im like in your situation now man. i might even change my mind buying the platinum since its a con and you will be pwned if you buy it. unless there is really a way of getting the bonus characters and japanese voices. if there is, then i will buy the platinum because there isnt anyway of buying collectors edition. i need to somehow ask them to make more collectors edition or something. is there really a way of contacting them online? anyway, if i find more info on platinum, like it tells you how to unlock the 4 secret characters, i will let you know........im doing some researching of this game if there is a way of unlock the secrets that you will find in collectors edition. so i will let you know if there is. but you also do some researching to find info if you want and tell me some info if you find any for eg finding the codes to unlock the xtra 4 characters. anyway, does the japanese voice-over still work in your platinum edition?

I've not tried the Japanese Voice-Over yet. However, i will when i find out how lol.

Well.. I basically told them why i bought the platinum edition. Then said that the passwords that came from the official site for the collectors edition didn't work and asked if there was anyway i could solve this.

Also mentioned the back of the box actually saying it has the 4 extra secret playable char's on it. :)

Basically, despite the fact that i was moaning about the official passwords from the official site simply didn't work in the platinum edition, all i got was "We don't have cheats on the site.. try www.gamefaqs.com"

So.. im not all to pleased. I'm gonna try ONE more thing. That is completing the game, as in getting all the characters with some help from this site ;P and then see if i can get 100% of capsules. THEN see if the passwords work.. or if there is another way to unlock em.

However, you dont just email them. You go on www.uk.atari.com and somewhere on that site is a small contact them page where you can state what game, platform and other stuff. Then you ask your question.

I dunno why the didn't wok for you but all the codes they gave on the site work for me, you get super vegeta, and all his stats are maxed out except for guard which is zero. You also get lon haired trunks, he's super powerful and his hair is spiky like in all directions when you go super saiyan and his hairs is tied in a pony tail. you get angel halo goku, he pretty strong too, an dyou get king piccolo, cept he doesn't have any baseline ki. all his ki bars are small, but all his attacks are like piccolo except they ae all like black and purple, its pretty cool. plus he has longer reach and stuff. yeah thats about it.

there real i have king piccolo,longhair trunks,and goku halo those are all of them and u have to have gratest hits edition
