first i have herd it is going to be on xbox 360 as well as pc the pc verson will be out later then the xbox 360 verson the xbox 360 verson will be out on the 24 of march or the 1st of april as my dad works for atari and he said that it will be out in england 1st and out in the states on the 1 of april or the 7 of april and there will be no ferraris as pgr has got the binding contract to put ferraris in there game and no poursche because it is in contract to ea fir there nfs series i hope this helps you it will be a great game please reply and tell me what u think of the game many thanks

I'm goign to hazard a guess at 3 may 2006, just because as the TDU screen loads on tdu.com (http://www.testdriveunlimited.com), after you selected the country it quickly flashes up 356 very very quickly blink and you'll miss it, unless of course someone who designed the website meant to put 365 and it's just a typo, although it is a wednesday

So far imo ATARI are the worst at developing games and distrubting games - mostly poor titles BUT that was on last gen. It seems Atari has finally woken up and instead of working slowly to catch up to the next gen graphics front they have leaped ahead of everyone and introduced something that will hopefully play spectacularly well.

However supporting the Xbox 360 is better sense than the PC as both platforms will be able to be created if using XNA ;-)

they are giving hardware companies less revenue and reason to do R&D on Graphics cards and the like

Face it, todays pc's do everything pretty fast, its just Games that keep pushing out the boundaries

Without pc games, the pc development market will stagnate leaving no improvements.

The two platforms compliment each other, it is definitely something to be taken advantage of.

to be honest i'm happy to wait it out, the longer you guys have the game the more time you have to perfect it, and work those manufacturers over to get licencing from them, i just enjoy joining in and asking the same question over and over again.

Using my amazing powers of deduction, i predict that the game will have it's car list and release date announced when the game is finished or there abouts and ready to be released.

I also believe that www.testdriveunlimited.com (http://www.testdriveunlimited.com) will have information on this as well as soon as it is available, it's online 356. :chapeau:

to be honest it's difficult to determine what that car in the distace actually is for certain

care in mind that the angles of the cars aren't great, if you get a shot of the spider direct from the back

that thumbnail above isn't a particularly good example but it was the best i could find.

Hey as i posted before it probably won't be released for a while, i pre-ordered mine for Christmas but didn't get it!!

You should listen to what Vibroboy says, he's a dev for the game and has a more knowledge of the game than most of us do.

As for the hype, most of it has been generated by the public not the TDU dev's if you look at www.testdriveunlimited.com (http://www.testdriveunlimited.com) is all the hype they've made, all the dev's have done is answered questions that they've been asked, they don't have to!!

The game had a few visual anomalies and framerate hiccups, but these can be largely attributed to it still being an unfinished build. The sound seemed solid, with unique sounds for every car engine. Controlling each of the game's vehicles was certainly a challenge and will take some getting used to. If TDU's online system can truly be pulled off, it could turn out to be a really impressive game. We'll have to wait for more of a chance to play online. Test Drive Unlimited is scheduled to release in July for the Xbox 360 and September for the PC. While you wait for more information, be sure to check the updated media below.
