I have just bought this game and of course, played it for a couple of hours already. I already unlocked Soho and 'what's-it-called' (you unlock them at the same time), finished all opps there, but no new district opens. So I basically have no more goal in the game :noooo: . I really like this game :atari: Hope you can help me.

Well. I have got as far as Times Square, Midtown in other words cos I'm addicted. Try building more businesses and expanding the area first. I know it takes a while but it'll happen soon enough :)

thought so, though the game said new areas would be unlocked after finishing all opps :mefiant:

Hello Joe how do you mean expand the area?, i'am having the same problems as the other folks in here, done all the opps and prize opps in soho and the posh district ( cant remember its name :D) and then nothing i actually though it was a bug in the game
Hope someone can help
Cheers

By expanding the area, I mean building more shops and things until it says on the news ticker that the next district is now available. Good luck, hope you manage to get to a new one soon.

By the way I made it to the very top of the rich list yesterday and my ready cash now stands at 62 million dollars!! :bravo: . Also I have got to Harlem and thats the last district but then again I do play this game for like 4-8 hours at a time every day! It's beginning to concern my parents as I play when I should be working!! :atari:

Hi ppl

Just to confirm Joe's point, he is correct, you just gotta keep building stuff until you get the unlock, build cheap stuff to conserve your money for the next district, or just fall asleep whilst playing it and wake up to a few million in the bank  .

Enjoy, and Joe, we :salut2: you. :)

Lol really? If you say so - thanks!

Yeah I know what you mean by falling asleep and then being about 5 million dollars better off, I went to post a letter a couple of miles away and walked there - when I got back I was that much richer it was unbelievable! I've got to the stage where no matter what I buy, the amount of funds I have just do not seem to go down because I have so many businesses making shedloads of profits! I kinda wish though that there were more challenges so that when you have got to where I have, there was still some exciting challenges left despite already having opps and prize opps - they just give you either more credits or landmark credits and I only have 2 more landmarks to build but the reward I get always seems to be more upgrade credits.

Ah well it still is a mighty addictive game - I just wish I had a better graphics card, it just shows in the gameplay. :noooo:

Yeah graphics are pretty cool, what graphic card you using?

Oh and I think my daily profit is around the 2 million mark, and I own all of China Town :respect:

If you need more money click the little arrow at top left of your info box in the top right, and click 4x speed. Money comes quick then!!!

Expand by building things they want, the greener the houses the better. I thought clothes in general would do, but I've found lacoste stores are popular!

You want money fast? I discovered a cheat all by myself: press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-C and you get one million dollar! It really works! Such a stupid cheat, I tried to open the gameconsole (and this combo is one of the usual combinations) and then try some commands (I saw addcash() in the readme :P)).

The graphics aren't that hot and the lack of options is astounding. Resolution and detail, that's it? eekblue: There's no widescreen resolution options and I had to force AA/AF in my driver settings.

That coupled with how buggy the game is makes this yet another rushed unfinished game from Atari. :(

What do you mean by bugs? I haven't seen real big ones. About the options you're definately right. The drawing distance isn't very cool either: I always want to have a pretty big overview, but by that, I only see cars just in the front, more to the back it's completely empty. My computer can easily handle more, but the game just doesn't allow it :(. I haven't found a settingsfile either, so I could set it manually.

Bugs? People having problems with no sound is a nothing more than minor problem but the fact the game keeps crashing for so many people is the main problem. My game will not let me goto the Soho district so I'm stuck.

Machine is 100% stable. (Prime/3DM/Superpi/Memtest86)

FX55
2x 7800GTX (SLI)
2GB Ram
2x 74GB Raptors (Raid 0)

All latest drivers installed.

I would more like to see a bugfixing patch first as my game crashes at the soho district wich leaves me completely stuck..

There's a post over at the other Atari forums from the dev thay suggests that anyone with this problem (not being able to begin the Soho district) is using a ***** release. My copy is 100% legit (bought from GamePlay). What the hell is going on?

ctrl-alt-c works fine, dont need the shift and ctrl-alt-u gives u 100 upgrade credits
