Black screen

Hi peepz,

when i want to start crashday, my screen stays black. I can hear te sounds and music. When i open my taskmanager is see a program called "black" is running. This program keeps my screen black. When i shut down this black thing, the game pops up, but terminates after 5 seconds.
Same with the demo... this sucks quite big time... who can help me??

I have a AMD Athlon 3500+, 2GB RAM, 400GB HD, ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe motherbord and a ATI x800xt limited video card on PCI-E

Try the following:
If you get a black screen during startup you might wanna try adding the -skipvideo parameter:

-skipvideo -> prevents crashday from trying to play any .wmv video.
-fastload --> ?? (takes directly to wreck mode or something?
-window -> ?? (i suppose it runs crashday in windowed mode hehe)
-debug --> ?? (extended logs info?)

In order to modify the parameters, create a shortcut to crashday.exe, then right click -> properties, and in the .exe line add the parameter you want to test. For example:

Thanks for the response.... nothing worked :-( This really sux...
By the way, the game starts automatically in a window and not fullscreen....

I tried all kinds of stuff, but nothing helped.... :noooo:
