When I close the game regardless of whether I save or not I get a blank screen for approx 2 mins and a message appears saying that Tycoon City New York has got problems and must close and asks whether I want to report it to Microsoft.
On restart I immediately get a message saying that I am advised to start the game in safe mode.
I have a HP Pavillion PC which is 9 months old and well within the recommended system requirements.
Any help offered will be appreciated.

Some three days after posting this it is still happening.
I do not know what is causing it or indeed what to do.
What is Safe Mode and if played in this mode will anything be lost from the normal game mode?.
Unfortunately being non computer literate I have to rely on Forums such as these for help and would appreciate assistance from anyone who can help please.

I have the game installed on two PCs - This one has 1GB of memory and closes fine, the other has 512MB and needs a hard reset to end the game, there is not a lot of difference between them. The problem has got worse on the other machine, as the misses has built so many buildings in Sandbox mode, probably thousands of them. In many ways this is an excellent game, in many others it's a klunker (technical term). My guess is they should have made the minimum memory requirement 1GB, but this would have excluded too many buyers.

In the Safe Mode eveything will set to low details, but no change in gameplay!
