Hi,
I like this game,a lot...when its working
I have weird problems like random crashes, due to level loadings. Also when i quicksave it crashes sometimes. And also textures go black and i cant see the main menu,or npcs.It also lags frequently during towns.
So what can i do?
Must i download the patch?becuase its hard as i have dial up with a maximum server login.
I have 1024 mb DDR RAM,an ATI 128MB graphics card(with latest drivers) and intel pentium 4 2.8ghz.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

:salut2:what ati chip set is your card got?are you using a sound card or mother board sound? patch 2 might help see the forum about what it fixes.you might need to turn off the music and limit the sounds to 8 max.also try lowering the detail setting till you find what work's slow up in town is a problem mine will drop frame rate in town sour: especially if it is thundering a real killer of frame rate :mad:turning off the surround sound also helps i set mine to head phones in the windows settings.

:) your card will need replaced with the newer game's demanding more i know it hard to come up with $$$ for new equipment so if you set the graphics lower you should be fine.also you can turn off the intro witch will help with you mem. Solution: disable the intro movies. Open game.ini file in the WordPad from the
game directory, and replace the line DISABLEAVIPLAYER=0 with DISABLEAVIPLAYER=1
in the "[Game]" section :)

You could try a simple defragmention of the Harddrive to clear up some corrupt stuff and optimize performance

ok new problem, this one is extremely annoying.I load uo boiling point, and the first loading screen is shown with saul myers in the middle. It loads up quite fast but when it reaches around 75% of the bar it just stops,so i pressed cntrl alt delete and something called Ryzom came up and it says windows is attempting to configure ryzom. However when i try to close it,it closes boiling point along with it.
Now the ryzom thing says i have do disc please insert disc after the configure bit, while boiling point is running.Ryzom is a game i believe, which i installed, and it did not work (it was a free 15 day trial with a magazine) so i just uninstalled it and left it.
This is a rare problem i believe but anyone got any pointers?

:salut2: i have a program called regvac it is a registry cleaner that gets rid of old programs that were left in the registry when uninstalled.you can get it at regvac.com there is a free trial that i used for a year before buying the registered version. :) :) with the program after using it you can see how much faster your computer is :)

i knew it would be my graphics card, man i hate it.
I am going to invest in an ATI X1600 512MB soon hopefully,
That will solve it right?

:) my son has 1 in his computer and likes it. :hin: the best way to make up your mind is check the reviews on different cards in your $$$$ range :)
