Hi everyone! Looks like a fantastic game so far.

Quick question though... does anyone know if the MINI Cooper S will be a attainable car in Test Drive Unlimited?

I own one in real life, and it's just one of the greatest handling sports cars ever. I'd love to rip the Hawaii roads up with it...so hopefully it'll be included in the game. I know the Audi TT is in the game...and if that is, then the MINI Cooper S should be in the game. :)

I've got a friend who's twin charged his MINI and he's getting over 400 wheel horse power with it. He can eat up most Porches, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris on the race track.

If the MINI Cooper S isn't included in the release, would it be possible to add it later through downloadable content? Because I'd pay for a chance to drive my car in this awesome online environment (MOOR). mdr1

Thanks in advance,
Jonathan

Well any Minis are yet to be confirmed I think :)

It would definetley be possible to put them up for content after, just whether they decide to put it in the game or not :respect:

i hope to god there's no mini's in this game - i absolutely hate them

hairdressers or fancyboys' motors.

and no offence to you jonathan022, but 'one of the greatest handling sports cars ever' - don't make me laugh

it's not a sports car, and it's got average handling

does it show that i don't like mini's?

OLD minis are very very nice cars. If itīs in game, I will be very happy. :)
It is a legendary light car, and itīs easy to control. 10sur10

The new mini's are a very nice car for what they are, but you cant compare them to a Lambo or Ferrari, there in a different league.

As per the guys first post on this thread, I'd like to see a video of that, would be cool. Although, the car is quite heavy compared to others.

The stock MINI Cooper S isn't that great compared to any "sport" cars...but if you put about $10,000 worth of mods in it, you can make cocky sport car drivers look twice.

Don't underestimate the car, I'll see if I can find some modded handling charts.

why would you want to customize a new mini they look great as they are its just the paint that needs changing to like the union jack or the stripes

No no no...it's not the looks that you mod, it's the performance parts.

Like add a turbo charger to an already supercharged MINI, aka twin charge. Add a 19% reduction pulley to the supercharger. Go to a better cold air intake with a silicon tube. etc etc etc

Lower the suspension with some H-Sports. Add a rear sway bar to get rid of the stock understeer. Use extra sticky tires, etc etc etc

By that time, you're up to 350+ wheel horse power, and have the handling to take on the Porsches! mdr1

no need if the intercooler/chargecooler is already cooling down the air rolleyesa

add $10,000 to any car and you can take on a lot of big power cars.....i know cos i've been there....i had a citroen saxo vts and i supercharged it.......held it's own against a hell of a lot of sports cars, impreza's, Audi TT's, a few porsche etc

Its not all about bhp, a lot is your power to weight ratio. I know it would be possible for a very tuned mini to beat a porsche, but just 350bhp upgrade wont do much against a 997 Carrera 4S, the car would have to have better suspension and handling, let alone the grip that Porsche's have. The weight varies between models, but in my opinion, if you put all those factors together, and had a decent driver for each car, the Porsche would come out top.

But as i said, it could be possible (and probably is), but as theirs so many different models and things you can do to cars now days, its hard to compare.

I like the mini, and i'd buy one, but i like the Porsche, and i'd buy one. Even if the mini was faster, simply because a Porsche is a Porsche i'd get one, its not just all about bhp.

i'd rather have a car that was designed to be a supercar, not a car that has been heavily modified to be one. if you know what i mean.

In reality, the more that you have added to your car, the more that can go wrong

couldn't agree more with that last statement........but the look on people's faces when you trounce them in a standard looking car :salut2:

here's a pic of it as it was supercharged......doesn't look like a 200bhp monster does it

French cars shouldnt be allowed to go fast, its degrading to supercars :) especially when it is the same kind of french car as my 70 year old great aunt drives

Exactly what I was thinking, even if nothing went wrong with a modified car I want the real thing.
