If you go onto www.xbox.com and go onto the forums there are a few threads claiming that the TDU demo can brake your 360 - it happened to me, ive had no problems since i got the thing and then 6 moths on and i download the demo and kabang 3 red lights. Has anybody else had this problem on these forums oh and nobody say its a conincidence because theres like 20 other people over at xbox.com who are having the same problem. Im still gonna download it again when i get my 360 back though. I cant keep away from it!! :atari:

i cant really see that being possible. i think its probably due to the console over heating, they crash when they over heat. and this usually happens when your playing a decent graphics quality game after over an hour. this happens even more if the console is standing vertical, as your blocking the two 80mm fans on the side, aka why the console should lay horizontal.

anyway, theres a years waranty, so im gonna still play the game.

There isnt a wide range of game on xbox 360 madred: should've waited for ps3.

what kind of games are you looking for?

are you being serious?

when console's are launched these days, there's never a lot of games for them at the start. it's been out for 6 months now and i'd say there's a good number of games out......

also, if you think about it.....it's not a spectrum where you can knock up a game in a couple of weeks......people these days are wanting quality gaming and quality graphics......this takes time - for example toy story the movie's took around 3 years each to make, as did madagascar, ice age, shrek etc etc

have patience son

looks like too much coincidence and not actual proof that its the demo. demo works fine for me, so does GR AW and PGR3 after having installed the demo, online and offline (i have a xbox 360 from February 2006 by the way).

also, what it sounds like is people jumping on ideas as to why their xbox 360 isnt working or has a problem. also want to point out that it seems to be mainly the first few batches of 360's have this problem.

Well, I have had a few minor problems with my 360 since the day I had it, with it freezing up, doesn't bother me at all though, happens rarely.

im kinda holding out to see how the ps3 turns out. and plus my computer is probably about as powerful or maybe more than a 360 and it is 2 or 3 years old and i havent added any new upgrades so... PC FTW!!!!!!!! mdr1

Hmmmm I don't think over heating would be caused by playing any game code, it would have to be just caused by playing the machine too much and coincedently playing the demo at the same time. Plus I havn't had any red lights while playing it. I've only had the occational frezing and having to reboot but I think that was somthing to do with it being online maybe to many people on the servers anyways TDU Rulez thnx :atari: can't wait for it coming out :bravo:

Not to sound like a fanboy, but try installing Oblivion and setting the sliders to max. The 360 plays it at max settings with both HDR and AA, the pc for some reason, even at max can only have HDR but no AA. The Pc however has a better draw distance and can achieve a higher FPS. The 360 hovers around 30 FPS so I guess thats enough. I'm not saying the 360 is the best thing since man made fire, but I kinda doubt your claim :P

Heres an easier question, can your computer play HL2 at max settings? :)

I think I started a war..

Oh, I doubt TDU can brake your 360. Sure it freezes from time to time, but it hasn't affected my 360 one bit. March release here.

I heavily agree. Top end computers from 2-3 years ago have nothing on the '360. Not to offend in any way, but I also doubt what you are claiming, nirvana04. To keep on topic... I've played the demo through and through with no problems in the other games I own. Except maybe this one time, when Ghost Recon froze, but it seems unrelated.

I wonder how many of the reported consoles that 'die' actually 'die', and arent just 'box bashers, gimps or loyalists to other consoles defaming the '360's name.. Or maybe it's the paranoia talking.

i think that the ps3 will be reliable because the ps2 was but it didnt last very long i went through 2 ps2's but i still have my original xbox andit is still running and i got it when it came out

recently, my sister had to have her slim ps2 plug thing replaced cos it COULD overheat. they replaced it free of charge.

I have had my ps2 and my xbox since they first came out, and haven't had to change them at all, apart from a new xbox in the first week (it was a bit :gaga: )

Yeah I don't understand all these problems, I never have a problem with my consoles. Though I do treat everything I have with extra care. Little things like watching out and not slamming the cover after I put the cd in my ps2. Or taking the cd out very carefully and not touching the "eye".

I dont think PC's which are 2-3years old, but top spec at the time are better than a 360. I have a nvidia 7800gtx card for my PC, which is nearly a year old, and it doesnt make games look as good as the 360. IMHO the xbox 360 is better, and is less hassle than upgrading PC components.

i also dont think PS3 will be anything special, not as many good game makers as Sony are quite paritcular with games. the console is more money anyway, but either way, i'll still end up getting one in the long run, i often do.

indeed...

well fuse line not trying to fuel the war more but i can :). max settings and fps is staying around 50. but a better comparison would be COD2. i will say though that i can't play that on max settings because antialising and antistrophic filtering just rape fps. plus i have seen the graphics of cod2 on an hd tv with a x360 and i will say they are very very nice. the monitor i use on my pc is not for gaming so it doesnt help the cause but it works quite well. so not trying to spark anyones fire but im sticking with my pc because it runs great and looks good, and i have a sweet mouse and steering wheel setup. so to all with an x360, have fun and i hope u have and hdtv :). all of those in pc world, dont worry our demo will be out soon... i hope :noooo:
