Just put the demo on for the first time in a while and tried to get a police chase. 3 badges, no cops. I crashed again and all i got was a notice saying "You have been fined $800" or something.
Where are the police?!?!?!

Kind of weird because i used to have cops pull me over last week and write me tickets and now (yesterday night) i would hit other cars but i would never see any cops come after me.

It seems to be a bug in the demo, this has started happening quite recently.
I think it might be something atari are doing? i think they can update the demo when they want...
I'd rather then polish the full game tbh.

and then release it on the 29th of september!
The server can modify what we see when we play. My assumption is that they are working on the cops and their AI so they have been taken out of the demo, just like you can't see other people just driving around anymore.

The least they can do is bring back online free ride the way it's suppose to work when they tested it.
I wish they would too. I downloaded the demo after they got rid of that part. What i bet is that they are working on the code of the game that invovles that portion, so once they are finished with it they will most likely set the server up so that you can see people on cruise mode to test it.
