Hi!
I think you all agree with me, one of the biggest points in a racing game is sound. The sound must be perfect, whats fun about a game with good psychics but terrible sound? It increases the gameplay, everything.
So i don't complain about the game sounds now, i think they're okay.. at least, i hope so!
Here is what i want to see "hear" ;)
When you pulling down the windows, i want to hear the wind, how harder you go how more wind. Also things like the blips and sounds in a ferrari enzo. And i missing that wroaring sound in the ferraris in the movies of TDU.
Also a little question, if you put the windows down, is it DOWN and UP. Or can you lower it a bit in stead of fully down?
Oyeah "Let the pc demo come :atari: "
i dont think you can adjust the window to what height you want but i agree they need to get the sound perfect on the enzo because there is nothing better than a sound of an enzo bliping the throttle and down shifting and i think the faster you go the wind noise increases
I truly don't think the xbox360 can get the correct sound, meaning like sitting in one. don't think the hardware is good enough. I mean its a standard for all games to record the car on a dyno.

thats not real and how i want it, i want the reallest sound ever ingame. Maybe testdrive can do it!
Too bad everybody can't get what they want then. We would like the realest possible sounds yeah but don't go overboard like PGR3. tonguegre
The sounds are important..but...are you serious martijjn???
Just try to imagine a game, where the sounds are just like in reality....totally perfect...but you can drive just on one track, and the physics is so baaaad that the car seems more like boat than a car.... The sounds are as important as the other aspects of the game like physics, graphics..but nothing more. And I think that the sounds in TDU are good...
P.S. if you want good sounds, play GTL ;) ( there you also get good physics  )

Most important things in a racing/car game (HELP ME SELECT ORDER):
1. Quantity of cars
2. Quality of detail
3. Handling
4. Good, or great graphics
5. Involvement
6. Interesting gameplay (not like GT4, where its lap after lap after lap.)
7. FUN TO PLAY
8. something that doesn't gets boring after 2 days.
I don't think I have ever played a game that doesn't get boring. Every single game gets boring, it depends how long it takes it to do it.

i thought that was the dodge challenger not the plymouth but anyway the plymouth is just basically a modded version of the dodge but i agree that the dodge charger sounds good but the aston martin vanquish sounds better

The sounds are fairly important, there just a factor of the game. Although its nice to have fairly accurate sound, the xbox360 demo is good enough for sound.
I love the sound of cars though, one reason why i like Ferrari's is because when they go over 5000rpm, the noise is distinctable. And also the Porsche GT3 when you go from 20mph to just under 80mph in 2nd gear with your foot to the floor =D lol

Having played the most recent code yesterday :chapeau: :chapeau:
The sounds are fantastic, its especially noticable when you start playing with more different cars. Each car model - exterior, interior and engine sound has been authorised by the manufacturers. These are as close to the real sounds as they can make them.
My favourite effect is when you change the views from outside and above the car to the interior. With decent speakers and surrond sound, you can almost feel the engine through your seat..

i think i will be buying more than the game when this comes out (700watt 5.1 sound system, 26" HD TV, xbox 360 racing wheel and pedals when they are out, a carbon racing seat and building my own simulator ;) :) lol ).

I have a 6.1 surround dvd player. There is a way to hook that up to the xbox right? I just need to buy a certain cord.

I think you mean a 6.1 sourround speaker system. because too my knowledge a dvd player doesn't have speakers in it. if your system has the ability to accept a digital input you can get a monster fiber cable that plugs into a/v port on your xbox360

You need to use an optical cable. These usually don't come with most speakers systems, I paid Ģ200 for a system with one :)

I meant the 6 speakers and subwoofer that comes with buying a complete dvd player home entertainment system as I did. Not the actually dvd player itself :p

Well I'll just get Tenebra over here to soften it up. :p
just tell us what kind of speaker system it is and look at the back for digital output connector if you don't have one you can still plug in the red and white outputs into it.

Its a Koss(Purifpath Digital, Texas Intruments). The back has the red, white, and yellow audio video plugs. Of bunch of them(like 10) which aren't being used. So surely they are meant to be connected to extra stuff.
if you got a digital camera just take a pic of the backend would make it easier for us

If you don't have a cable which will have a cover on the top (this is because it seems to work with light weirdblue), then I doubt it will work.
