Possible its for sure, the question is if the developers include it into the game.

I sure hope so, or at least a split screen, my family had a lot of fun with that in Need for Speed 2 for weeks!

split screen would be great idd, but check the games of the last 2 years. its almost never done anymore. why? i have totaly no clue.
i hope atari brings it back.

i think LAN is in there for shure, every self respecting racegame has it.
if the game has multiplayers it in it for shure, and since this is the case i dont think you have to worry about that.

Better that split screens is when players go alone and they compare the time.

The Dev's have already said that Split screen will not feature in TDU, but the test at Atari is going to use lan'd xbox 360's so this might suggest that lan play will be an option!!

2 player might just be over a network and not playable on one computer!! imagine having to render 2 sets of amazing graphics, do they really want to do the game an injustice by allowing downgraded graphics in order to render 2 screen simultaneously!! it is a big game afterall

the only 2 player mode is online (which is more than 2 players!) and through LAN

"imagine having to render 2 sets of amazing graphics, do they really want to do the game an injustice by allowing downgraded graphics in order to render 2 screen simultaneously!! it is a big game afterall"

That is actually no excuse, back then when the splitscreen was invented and mostly used, it was in games that had back then also amazing graphics and the computers, that were then way way slower as todays, could do it too.
GTA3 didnt had a multiplayer because "the network hasnt reached a speed yet that could host all this" True, the standart net back then was maybe at a speed of 512kb/sec, however a LAN multiplayer had easily could been done, as there we were already at a speed of 1gb per second. The developers just didnt put it into the game.
Dislike it that at "multiplayer" mostly is thought about Internet, while the rest of the possibilities to play multiplayer, (which is in case of the LAN even speed wise technoligy advanced) is forgotten or just a small addition.

THis is actually a question I wanted to ask myself.

I hope LANplay is in there. And I hope they include all the bells and whistles. Like Racing for cash/parts/Pink slips or what have you against buddies, still with the entire island to roam around on.

I would loooooooooooooooooooove that. Cruising in your R34 GTR, with your mate (or a couple of them) around the huge Island. It would be brilliant.

Speaking of wich, anyone have any Pics of the R34 GTR in TDU?

I HOPE THEY DO IT. Just imagine it.

Lets say LAN play is in the game. WIth the 1000 Mile OPen Island.

Cna you imagine the possibilities?

You can organise 10 person LANS or whatever, all racing against each other. How cool would that be. Sorta like car club vs. car club. Might sound a bit far fetched, but if htye do something like that it would be INSANENLY AWESOME!
