Would i be able to run the game on max detail , 1024X768 on
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
1GB Corsair RAM
ATi Saphire X800XT Platinum 256mb
Do you think it will play smoothly?
I play HL2, FEAR, Oblivion, COD2, HL2:ep1, Most Wanted perfectly on high details..
Er, yeh. They wont make it so you need an amazing PC to run the game. Or I hope the wont eekblue:

PC always wins, best graphics on the pc is a fact cause we got the newest hardware and it keeps updating.

I REALLY don't think that the game will be available in 640x480. That's just old now.
So put a new Graphic card in your pc and you will get greater graphics than the Xbox 360. With the pc you can buy the most recent hardware.
Yeh, graphics card for £300+ and cpus for £300+, to have an up-to-date pc. High speed ram isn't cheap either.
Not many people can afford that.

IMO you have no reason to worry about .....MAYBE you will have to turn off HDR lightning but I think it will be still veeeery nice looking game on that PC. :wink2:

alot of games are availble on 640x480 and i'm not talking about oldies
Such as Prey. That game isn't even out yet, but on the demo it runs 640x480, so it will on the full version.

Intel centrino duo 1.66ghz
2gb ram
Mobility radeon x1400 256mb gaphics
100gb hdd.
Im more worried about my screen , 1920x1220!!! Widescreen can be a pain.
I'm not to keen on gaming laptops. I much prefer keyboards on PC aswell.
I got my wireless keyboard and mouse plugged in. The touch pad annoys me and the keyboard is too small on the laptop! Its quite handy to have tho. Besides its size. I wish i got the 15.4" One now. Stupid 17" Its too fat.

I'm not sure if your laptop can run the game easily, 1.66GHz is O.K. but you have to remember that when laptops get hot or have a low battery the CPU speed is automatically reduced. So after around 2 hours it will be about 1Ghz or lower. Its still a fast laptop though telling by the specs.

Ah but theres 2 of them , All of this adds up to it being faster than a P4 HT. tonguegre And the battery life is good aswell , 4-5 hours

It depends to what amount of detail they put on the PC game, and what style of graphics engine they use for the PC version. Seeing as the demo for the PC (if there is one, but i dont care as i prefer my xbox 360), then its hard to say, and its probably going to remain a un answered question for a bit.

Games for PC can usually be played with the graphics cut down to fit your pc config(as long as it fits minimum requirements). And your pc graphics card and ram seems fine, so no biggie to worry about.

Yep definetley need more ram, you can get 512mb for about £30 now.

Well I don't have to make worries if my pc would run the game:
AMD Athlon X2 4200+
2 Gig GSkill DDR 400
Sapphire X1800XT slightly overclocked
and Watercooling so it don't get to hot inside my pc
And my answer to someother pc owners, buy a new pc

i dont realy care if i have a big computer or not.
if i can run the game than i'm happy. if not i'll just upgrade my pc or buy a new one. (upgrade costs like maximum 400 euro and a PS3 700 freaking euro (!!!) thats what i call sick, cause do you know whats in a playstation or xbox? thats right a freaking computer procesor and grafical card, sooo its just the same only more expencive :) )

maximum requirements:
Amd athlon 64 3500+ - 4000+ dual core. Or An Intel p4 3.4ghz - 3.8ghz.
1gb ram or 2gb ram
any nvidia 256mb graphics or either any Ati 512mb graphics.
Minimum requirements.
Amd athlon 64/sempron 3000+. Or an Intel p4 2.4ghz - 3.0 ghz
512mb ram or 1gb ram
Any nvidia 128 mb graphics or either any Ati 256mb graphics.
Pc comes out better graphics than any console but needs more memory and quicker proccessers. But with the X360 3.0ghz or 3.2ghz it will run any top game, because its desinged for those games..

It will work but i would recommend a nvidia 512mb graphics because they run better than ati.

Not Just ANY Nvidia and Ati at 512 or 256. Memory is not all!! A radeon X1300 512 mb is sh i tier than a X1600 256 mb. The memory frequency counts. Ur video memory can be clocked at 200 mhz or 500.. and also how many pipelines the cards have. Take pipelines over memory. I wouls say the minimum to go for this game is a Radeon 9200. But if you want decent graphics try a 9600XT and 9800XT. If you want the best for decent price go with X850XT or X800XT PT, or 7900GT.

No way will you need a cpu that fast. You dont need a good cpu to run even the best games, I think about a AMD 2400 would be minimum.
I also think you will need 1gb of RAM to run it smoothly, as on WoW you do need 1gb to run that with a half decent fps :respect:

Err Prey goes lower than that (well the prey demo), and that game isn't out for about 2 weeks :)

Man that is totally cowpoo what Spoonz say. You never has to have such a fast cpu to run the game. And that "any nvidia 256mb graphics or either any Ati 512mb graphics" sentence is also totally sick. Man a ATI 9600XT with 512 mb Ram isn't faster than a ATI X1800XT 256 GDDR3 Ram. That what he sais is totally nosense. Let the making of maximum requirements and minimun requirements over to the people who know something about pc and hardware. madred: And don't put something on the site that you suck out of your thumb. But a it's a very smal nice try. :p
