Hello everyone.
Can be this game played offline? I don´t have a good connection, and i never play online, cause i´ve tried several times and games and it doesn` t work well. I have a ps2, and maybe a 360 in november.
With a free roam mode offline i´ll be happy
yes this game is playing online and offline :)

yes there will be an offline part in the game for shure.
although i must say that the primairy part of the game is online ...
its there where you can win cars and stuff like that.
in the single player you have to buy your houses, cars, and earn some money but there are no real life oponents, no carclubs, ...
here you can only race against AI controled oponents and we all know that AI will never be as good as real online oponents.
but to answere your question, yes there is singleplayer so you can play the game.

because everyone else lies about their age (well not everyone but check out the contest forum and the amount of people who didn't enter or kicked off because the age limit was over 16 and you'll have your answer)
I'm actually really looking forward to playing in a offline mode sometimes it's nice not to take a whooping from real people, and then there is also the problem with really mouthy, offensive or just plain bad players that at certain times during the day are almost impossible to avoid! so a bit of offline will be good just to relax and not worry about people flashing you!!

I dropped my old style ps2 once on a wood floor. OUCH!
Anyway, i couldn't get the disc out, (NFS:MW a week after release OUCH!) but eventually a miracle allowed me to get it working.
My sister's slim ps2 required a new plug thing cos Sony said it could overheat lol.

And people who got an xbox when they first come out needed to get one sent, they said if you didn't get it, it could set alight eekblue:

I made my own one on PowerPoint.
You can always get a pic and then add your name on it with Paint.
PS : I would have never know about the faulty plug unless i visited uk.playstation.com. And i've only seen it once or twice!

Lol, I got a letter from microsoft saying I had to order one immedietley!

That isnt quiet right, AI are actually, especialy these days, can be harder to beat then real online opponents. Why? Because real opponents are humans that make mistakes, driving like they steer on a keyboard, while AI Oppenents in order to be "though" drive in many games (especialy NFS) like on a rail road system, as they would steer a real car in order to "simulate" the realistic feeling. Thats why i still think NFS 2 one of the best racing games ever, because the AI oppenents drove like steering on a keyboard, they made the same mistakes like you did, and that made it believe able and the races very funny and actually fair, as you didnt had to hit restart every time you made one single mistake, because even by making a very bad accident you could still win as it was a high chance the next round the AI made a similar mistake.

This depends on the AI difficulty. Some games such as GTR are incredibly hard to beat on 100% difficulty. Many racing games are like this. I know if you set difficulty all the way for Hot Pursuit 2 in an 8 player race with McLarens, the top cars were LMs, and the traffic became extremely hard to avoid.
Shooter games I wouldn't consider the same way unless say, BF2. But in other games like HL2, it's you against the a **** load of dudes.

NFS 2 that the crappiest cheat codes.
Honestly, driving a bathroom?
What kind of nonsense is that?

NFS 2 is a stupid game
AI players are much better drivers than real players as real players often make mistakes and (purposely!) crash into other racers to gain places

Thats called sense of humor, there used to be a time where computer games had at first to be fun, only in late years came this that everything needs to be deadly seriously and realistic.
Thats what NFS2 was all about, having great fun in racing cool cars. NFS Underground for example i played a week with not even one small smile because nothing funny happened, mostly i got pissed when i had to restart a race for the 15 time because i made 1 mistake.

NFS2 was what I would call, "Teh shiz!"
Seriously, that game had so many cool cheat cars like the limo or the T-Rex on the Vegas track.

i agree need for speed is a great series but it can really piss ya off big time. that is with all of the restars and the opponents intentionaly smashing you into rough corners and badly rendered turns. i'm not saying every turn was a death trap but a few should have been rounded off better when they were working on it to begin with . J.D. :)
