Here is my collection of videos made by me, myself and I of Eden/Atari’s upcoming Massively Open Online Racer (M.O.O.R): Test Drive Unlimited. Please save the videos to your computer rather than streaming by “Right-click > Save as”. Bandwidth on my host is pretty generous but please don’t embed in your pages, link directly to the file for saving.

Other than that enjoy the videos and if you do have a request, ask away, and if you enjoyed them then please tell me !

I have got the mother of all glitches caught on video. I just finished an online race, and pressed to quit to the lobby, nothing happened, so I quit back to race search screen and it kept telling me no races met my online prefs. Fair enough so I quit out by pressing B and I fell through the map !!

I fell for ages, I could rev, drive, but sometimes my speed got stuck, and then after nothing happening with pressing back I went to the map which was completely black, I could see the coloured icons but nothing else. It eventually put me back after exiting the map.

I'll have the video up soon, man that was weird !!!

1: are you actually trying to drive as realistic as possible, or does it just come naturally in the game? (for example, when you are driving the gallardo at top speed, your overtakings all look very realistic, but that result could be achieved with alot of practice and careful handling in a game like NFS:MW)

2: are you using a steeringwheel or the normal gamepad?

3: could you get us some more vids of the shelby? that sucker just floats my boat you know... (but i still think the 350 looks better)

(for example, when you are driving the gallardo at top speed, your overtakings all look very realistic, but that result could be achieved with alot of practice and careful handling in a game like NFS:MW)I am trying to drive realistic and avoid the fast approaching traffic also but to answer your question that is basically how the game plays, all I do to make the steering less twitchy is knock the steering sensitivity down 2 notches to make it feel more like a car rather than a paper plane that can change direction immediately, there has to be some small form of delay.

gaaah! now all of a sudden after my reformat, all the vids are sooooo much darker... i can hardly see whats going on.. and the wierd thing is that in the little preview window in xp the vids are their normal bright selves!

Go into your graphics card setup, goto the Overlay options and upthe brightness. All computer screens are usually too dark to begin with and you will need to change the Video Overlay to increase brightness when playing vids.

Firstly not in the US, I live in the UK in Scotland and secondly if they've heard of Forza Motorsport and Forza Central, do they recognise the name Diablo as an admin there. Anyway I'm finished talking about this now, getting back on topic. Next video is a Shelby pursuit, the last 5mins of it and should be up in the next 12 hours.

I have the Lotus captured and the races also so they will be up next week. Been a heavy day for downloads.

Shelby pursuit and the replay of an AI race is up now. For some reason in the replay when the camera is close to the car it overrevs a few times, that was not me.

You can change camera's with 'Y' (see the icon), but as for panning and zooming, you can only do this from what I could see when you were in a player view, like behind car view etc... As for switching cars, nope not in the demo anyway, the only options are restart, speed, pause and eject.

LOL I'm recording a request of smashing the AI traffic to show the damage effects but the cops aren't liking me too much for it, but I came across something really weird. After avoiding a roadblock, a cop was heading right for a headon with me, when he somehow flew over and above me and landed behind the roadblock about 25ft behind me. LOL

Sorry to quote you ...umm me, myself, I ...anyway I had a talk with my host and it appears - after many drinks and us getting drunk - that I owe him a Blue Whale and a cocktail umbrella, but with regards to the hosting I got my bandwidth trebelled(sp? eh!) !! It should hopefully tie me till the end of the month I hope, though the math adds up to just making it, I guess we will see. Though the upgrade in space is troubling me as it means I have more space for videos !

Great videos Diablo! I especially like the Shelby pursuit video. Love how it appears you and the Ferrari F430 are teamed up both running from the cops. The cop crashing at the end is great.

How about some low reving and low rpm touring? And try a burnout in 1 and gear 2. And the car near the road in the grass from the outside view arround it and sometimes rev a little.

Strangely online about 130mph, offline though and with enough tarmac you can get about 144mph.

New video finally !! Had some fun with a load of friends in online freeroam and after sifting through about 2 hours of video and finding the right music it's finally complete. Much easier to just compress one video rather than edit a load into one, great respect for those who do.

When I was reviewing the captured video to pick sections that would work in a video, that song was on the radio and the Lotus jump happened about half way through, so it kind of came about both ways. lol

Hehe I try to cater to everyone, I just felt that because it was the demo that the engine noises get slightly repetitive as you're essentially always at the same place so I went and did a test with music plus it fit in well with the humour and fun I wanted to show with freeroam online. tonguegre

I'll see what I can do in future videos though.

The Lambo round the locations I am working on today, I'm just trying to plan a route that would be easy to follow but also show off everything, not fun and not sure if I can get it all in in 15mins. lol

I know but i want to see a video with the lamborghini going to the locations found in the demo. :)I am encoding this video as I type, it will be a big file, it's 13mins long and will be definitely 200Mb+ but it's worth it. I could've taken the softly softly approach and showed you each location by just GPS'ing straight to them but naaaaaaaah ...I decided to see how many I could drive to from each other direct from the rental car place. It's crazy driving ahoy and very very lucky avoidances and other stupid annoyances. I don't think the Gallardo was built for this sort of punishment. lol

Video will be up tomorrow as I am encoding now and will upload overnight.

Trust me, you will really like this one, and I urge anyone to give this run a try, I can even supply the pacenotes. :nuts:

Thank you gaiozi and nipper, hearing that people enjoy these videos that take a while to get from capture to download makes it all worth while. I am glad people without a 360 or those waiting for the different versions can get a good idea of how this game will play from the videos.

This thread has rocketed by 600 views in only 2 days and I got an email from my host informing me of the high-activity of my site but hell it's all worth it and my host seems to be pretty cool as long as I keep paying them so all's well.

the PC people will get a demo when it gets nearer the PC release date. Judging by the 360 demo, the devs have been working non-stop to get the 360 game out on time (we can tell cos the demo is full of bugs which would have been fixed already...hopefully) and so they have had no time for the PC people

You will get a demo and more news when the game gets abit closer to the date and the massive date (the 360 release) passes. Also just because the games gone GOLD doesnt mean they have finished coding it. They are still doing last minute coding to the server following the demo bugs (i pressume) so they are not sitting there doing nothing.
