another image of racetrack

well, if you can recall there was an image of a lamborghini muira in an earlier shot, and on the track there was the red and white markings of a racetrack, well i just noticed the same road marking in a more recent screenshot of TDU, here it is:

The guy is coming round a corner with race track marking in an opposite direction the muira taking a different corner!!!

i would say that is conclusive proof there is a race track on the island!!

plus the curbing is on both sides!!!

what more do you want a screen shot of 22 f1 cars driving round?

Hawaii Motorsports Center (aka "Hawaii Raceway Park") is a complex which includes a 1.32 mile road course, an 1/4 mile NHRA drag strip, a paved kart track and 1/4 mile dirt oval. It is located on the island of Oahu. The lease runs out in 2006 and currently it is unclear what will ensue.

The 1/4 mile dirt oval apparently operates under the name "Hawaii Motor Speedway".

Wonder if it will be like a hit the a button to join the track if the track is gunna be in the game atall.
It would be nice just to drive up and on to the raceway instead of having a seperate server loading section just like the garages.
Oh yeah by the way in this free roam mode do you see other racers just bombing it round the island or do you have to start a multiplayer race to find others if you get what i mean.

I asked that a little while ago hopefully it'll be answered soon!!

It'd be really good if it was a no loading screens tyle racetrack (hope yuo know what i mean by that) but it might be like a multiplayer race point simialr to the 360 demo. I.e in the demo you had single player races and a multiplayer meet up point!! i think you'll probably be able to drive to the point and then hit A and you can meet random people or set up a game as in the demo (that's my guess anyway) i'm pretty certain that'll be the case but you'll also be able to just do solo laps around the track!!

So you get no loading screen when you sign up for a multiplayer race on the 360 demo!!

i need to get your broadband connection then (it might not say loading but something has to put your car on the grid!)

My guess it was a pic taken going round 'the chicane' judging by the air he's got he's going flat out and it looks like that the onlyplace it could happen with some curbing in the background!!

i think i remember that one dev said that the hawaii motorsports centre would NOT be in TDU due to licencing issues, however there would be a ractrack in a hidden location, i'll check my post history to see if i could find the post...

ah those were the days, the community was small and friendly, the devs were here once in a while...
