i was just looking through the videos on my hard drive and realised, OMFG there is a BMW in the Forza 2 trailer, now considering that EA had an exclusitivity deal with BMW, then if Forza, which is made by microsoft, can have BMW, then the exclusitivity deal must have finished, if the deal has finished and companies are open to buy rights to use BMWs in their games, then there is a chance that Atari could buy the rights to put BMW in TDU (which would rule!)

when you consider that BMW were under exclusitivity, yet they are not anymore, then what about porsche, they are (maybe were) also EA exclusive, when does their deal end i wonder?

Are you being serious ? PGR was about 6 years ago, licences last from one title to 5+ years, also GT4 had BMW !! Anyway the new download for PGR3 will have (apparantly) BMW, Mini, Gumpert and some others to make up 12.

Would be good to have BMW and Porsche offically, as they are lovely cars. But i could live without and be happy with the offical moders (i.e. RUF,Gembella, AC S. etc...).

That's an AC Schnitzer in the trailer. Based on a 6-series, but has its own license.

They're cars are not tuned-Porsches.

They tune customer Porsches, but the CTR2, CTR, RGT, etc. are all cars that have been 95% built by them.

Not sure how fast the mini goes but surely PGR would be stopping this life begins at 170mph if they did that wouldn't they?

Also Vibroboy did say that they could have had BMW and Porsche but it's all down to buying the rights from EA, which would have been very hard, much in the same way that Microsoft have the rights to ferrari (take PGR3)

I guess it was just a toss up as to which cars they wanted in the game most because it would have been very expensive to have all of them!!

there is nothing to say that BMW etc won't be in further downloads (that's speculative) if for example the EA exclusivity licence has expired!!

Gran Turismo had a collection of official BMW cars. And that was released last year so theres a chance :)

I really love BMWs!

EA actually did for an extremely short time with Most Wanted.

However, BMW has renewed itself with its old contract of being available to anyone who wants them.

they were both in pgr1 and 2 in 2 there was the bmw x5,bmw m3 and another one i think and there porsches like the old on and so on

there is some new cars being released for PGR3 on the marketplace later this month. BMW could be one of these downloads. I don't think EA have the license anymore. Is there anyway to find out?
