Yes 1000's of people online, only see and hear the closest 8 or something though or you can filter to just show your friends or certain cars/class of cars. This is basic info about the game from the start essentially.

You can drive around and the closest players will change as you travel.

yeah but wont the roads be really packed online with loads of people how can you do this because surely you cannot use filters because you wont be able to see the other person but they can see you

There will be no 50 car races. it's 8 or 16 i don't remember at max. there are filters so you can choose who you will see and thats it.

you will only be able to see the closest 16 to your position that match what your filtering. For example your closest 16 friends or the closest 16 people with the same skill ect ect.

How do you know it's 16 btw? Couldn't it be 8 or 10 or..?

ummmm sounds a little funny best to wait till game is out i say cause if you filter so you just see ya 16 closest friends / skill lvl and i filter say for example cars ...as some people have put on here, wouldent that mean that i see them but they wouldent see me ? :hin: to be honest i aint that bothered much if i can see 5 of my friends online with all that space to rip around im a very happy chappy :bravo: and if its 16 my smile is even bigger mdr1

Brings me to the question, is there any form of "protection" for the online racing? I assume you can bet money, so you make a race and then in the middle of it the guy disconnects because he is loosing. Do you then still get the money/points or is the race over and you drove the half race for nothing?

Yes, Vibro has told us on the US Boards it's 16 set to your filters. This will help allow the 16 people clubs.


And no worries about them seeing you when you can't see them. Cause if you're set to something where you can't see them, they'd have to have an open filter, and even then the game may make it so you can't challenge them or see them.

Well then just one thing, you will only see the closest 15 people then wont you, cause 16 includes yourself :)
