It's to late for me!! i pre-ordered mine at the end of 2005 deperate to get the game!! the idea of this post is that if you know somewhere that is giving away a gift with TDU post the place and the gift up here, that way anyone who hasn't ordered it yet has the added advantage of seeing who gets what with what.
yeah, all cars (it's not the only free car you can get from pre-ordering the game, depending where you pre-order it.. I don't know more so don't ask me wich car and where lol) are fully usable from start.

I'm waiting to see if Amazon offer a car cos Vibro said that there would be others :)

I agree, what's the fun in that? Me personally i wanna start with a low end car and fight my way up, so that day when you have enough money to buy a Lambo etc, you will be really happy.

i dunno why people use cheats. I never use cheats
whats the point in payin £50 for a game and then cheating and not playin as it should be played, as the devs have wanted it to be played.

cheats can expand gameplay, basically i only cheat after i complete the whole game, then i cheat to have fun
like, i complete the story in GTA, then start making cars fly :nuts:

yeah same. but the GTA cheats don't really do much, they just make it more fun. Cheats in TDU would make it unfair for people playing without cheats as they will have more money, faster cars ect. :)

Most games are, in essence, puzzles. You work out how to play them using the game mechanics, and then you beat it. Its about skill. You don't watch DVD's on fast forward do you? :nuts:

Well if ya get the game with a code i would of class that as a free cheat given to ya on a plate, kinda the same ya thinks huh ya still cheating just not looking on the web but still have a advantage over peeps who didnt get the code when they brought it.
it's called a gimme cheat.

it's called a gimme cheat.Yeah, in that case, its not really cheating. I'd imagine that there will be a way of securing this as, if Game discovered that their 'exclusive' offer wasn't very exclusive, they'd be a little upset (not to mention embarrassed).
Besides, if you can't drive, you're not going to hold onto that flashy car for very long. tonguegre
*note* I do think C.Ronaldo is a fantastic footballer, for his abilities with the ball. I just don't like him very much for his blatant diving, and for scoring the last penalty against England :noooo:

This car is an Exclusive and won't be made available in the showroom immiediately, i.e no matter how much money have you won't be able to buy it.
It's a perk, if it was a cheat, then anyone who got an exlusive car by downloading would also be cheating, all because some people didn't get it!!
Also Vibroboy has already said that you won't be able to race it in everyrace straight away because of the different driver skill levels, and if you don't want a lambo joining in your race straight away, use your filters and bar that car from the race!!

Look i have no problem with peeps getting the lambo or any other kinda benefit, but call it what ya want, perk freebie,benefit,a passage to india, but at the end of the day you didn't earn or win the car legit so you are cheating.

Um yeah you do get the car legitimately, it's a download, it's an add like everyone else will be able to get!! you never know on the day of the release there Atari may offer a download to everyone who plays on line for the first day, if that's the case are they all cheating? becasue somepeople who may get the game a day later won't be able to download that car!

Now ya changing the goal posts, i was on about getting the code with a online order company, dont wingle ya out of the orignal post and making up fools gold.. tonguegre
And ya not getting the car legitimately well ok its not against the law but just because a company hands you a code thats not cheating but if ya pull the same code of the web thats cheating right, thats what you are saying right.
look i aint got a problem with you or anyone in here not even graigee22 i just like to have a good descussion about matters that are to do with this game, so what ever or however you take my words take them with a pinch of salt.

The code they are handing out will be like redeeming microsoft points on xboxlive which is how you'll download the game, kind of like get a 3 month trial of xbox live with certain games, it's a freebie or a money off coupon not a cheat. It's not like they'll start TDU and then have to press up, A, down, X or anything like that. That's why i was comparing it with the exclusivity of a limited number of downloads, it's the same principle, but all that's happening is the play.com will have one code Amazon may have another code so on and so fourth, (not sure if Amazon are giving extras or not)

What is the fun is starting a game thats all about winning money and buyed better, prettier, faster cars if the car you start with isn't half bad. If the starting car list is full of cars that are slow, 100bhp cars, how is it fair to drive away from your house for the first time in a Lambo????
Thats how i see it anyway. TDU is about earning cars and cash properly and in my opinion starting with a lambo isn't playing properly
and btw, i'm glad you now don't have a problem with me ziggy

Yeah but each race will be class specified or Car make specified so you won't be able to use it on a race

I doubt it. It'll take ages to own every other car, and it'll be pointless to buy it from GAME unless you'll use the car from the start.

on the note of the galloardo the gallardo is not a very good car and i would rather save and get the murchilargo instead so this is why play.com doesnt bother me but game.co.uk do giving away a mclaren sign....what is the world coming to/......

Obviously you all know that GAME is offering a MacLaren F1 as an exclusive download when you pre-order with them.
Now that is taking the piss;being one of the best cars in the game.
A better idea would be for the exclusive download cars to be emblazoned with the logo of the place where you got them. That way we can always tell online who earnt their cars, and who got them as a purchase incentive.

something that amazes me is that when play.com offered a gallardo, a pretty average supercar, there was outrage, but when game offer the best supercar (ever) in the game, people are pretty peeved, but nothing special

I have pre-ordered from Game because i like driving the cars for the inside view and i want to see what it looks like sitting in the middle of the Mclaren LM. Have be told in another room that u cant drive it until you have enough skill points, so wont be able to drive it straight the way. eekblue:
