I actually agree with him. Plus, I don't like any...Ford, Chevy, Cobra...they all stink to me. No offense Supreme, but I tried to drive the Shelby GT500 in the TDU demo and I couldn't get the damn thing back on the street... weirdblue ...it kept spinning for me. Maybe it's because I'm used to Lambo's and Lotus's and stuff with...er...."tight" steering. But continue, please... I like how these threads usally turn out dark:

i don't realy like american cars, there not bad but to big and not a technologic wonder on the other hand the styling is great. Let's say if i have to choose i take the corvette

That has almost always been the case with american cars, you can give the a car 500 bhp but you have to work the suspension and the brakes. You can just tell that they put more work in the settings of suspension of the C6, altough the mustang has a disadvantage with his heavier body and less aerodynamics.

i have no idea where you are from but straight line performance is still big in the US...
the corvette is an entirely different type of car. a base lotus elise would probably beat the corvette round a twisty track.

I'm from the US, and while straightline performance is great (the GT500 acceled here), magazines can't just do it.
They need to include a circuit track so people get an understanding of the cars. The comparison was a GT500 Vs. base Corvette C6. There was no Lotus in the comparison nor was there supposed to be. It was 2 American Icons going head to head.

I'm only surprised because being the GT500 '07 is the top Mustang today, I would have expected Ford to make the car a lot more track nimble. As I said, Ford added to much weight. So much it weighs more than the original GT500, and back in those days, Muscle cars were "tanks".

Well the cars of the past are allmost always lighter, because cars nowdays have so much electronics, safety bars, airbags, inside computers, and more size.

For example the 1980 golf weights just 805kg or 1775lbs, and the 2006 model weights 1296kg or 2857lbs.

1)The original GT500 was a muscle car aka tanks that gas guzzled and weighed a lot.
2)This is a top of the line Mustang built to be a performance car. Performance cars these days usually aren't heavier than the cars they "revive."
