Sorry to put ya pm on here bud but good topic as all the other pants is going down around us..... tonguegre
You do realise that the motor show featured more than 7 ferraris including an enzo and f50 a 430 and 2 f40s. It also featured two gallardos and a tuned porsche oh and 2 zondas. Along with a tonne of other supercars. You missed out real bad!
lol now ya nutter...... eekblue: what i mean is that they had no real super cars that you could sit in, come on man how many lambos or ferraris did you plonk ya rump in huh. yeah i sat in some nice motors M6 and so on but i wanna sit my as in some hot butter not some luke warm mucked up wanna be rides, i want the real deal but nah unless they made amends in the last few days. i thought it was a lame duck with poor set up, no and my name is not the grinch........ :salut2:

the motor show was good but:
the aston exhibit was really small and everyone was around there
the only 'supercars' had massive stickers saying supercar paddock on them so they make crappy pics
too many crappy makes - kia were there!
My dad realised he bought the wrong car. He owns a diesel Nissan Primera estate. He then sat in a leathered-up 407.
Also - did anyone see that new Renault concept? Nasty stuff. Hold on, I've got a pic somewhere.

i think you lot miss the point of what makes a great show = Great cars to sit in not - local dealership models. come on so how many peeps got in a super car.. weirdblue

yeah but they see it as a great show, convince people to buy their cars. If ferrari were there you would get people sitting in them but not buying them. Peugeot ect is a different story
also did you guys see Vauxhalls amazing skating and bmxing show :nuts:

Look and think young master go beyond and deeper than politics itself and think what makes a great show for you.

I was happy getting the free drinks and ice lollies from the Ford stand. Nice people them. Much better than the EEEEVVVVVIIIILLLL GM corporation.

An auto show isn't a place for you to sit in, nor is it for supercars. It's a place where people go to see what and how the new models are like.
These supercar companies didn't let you because they know 98% of the attendies couldn't afford it. Why let them sit in a perfectly good car they can sell to someone else?

I didnt get a chance to go to the motor show, but by the sounds of it, it wasnt anything special. I mean, 'wow, they had XXX amount of these cars', but whats the point in seeing loads of them, its better to see 1 and have a close up look, and even sit in it.
I went to Goodwood Festival of Speed a few weeks ago, which, needless to say, was better than any car show i have been to. They had F430s, 599GTBs, 612, Enzo FXX, Veyron, Gallardo Spyder, 997 Turbo, 997 GT3, Z06, LP640, Zonda F, SLR.... the list goes on for quite a while more. And you see them very much up close, even to the point where you can touch and have a good look inside. Or if your lucky enough like me, able to sit in a number of the cars, including the Ferrari 599GTB.
I also go to the Autosport show every other year, but recently it hasnt been as good, as there are less car manufacturers, and everything is behind fences or tape. The only improvement was the number of show girls. :)
Its worth trying smaller events though, like the Ferrari and ballon thing at Groombridge next weekend (i think), as its the Ferrari owners club and some other who bring down their cars for display (and etc..).
We got into the show at 9:15AM and it was like a ghost town! Got some great pics of the aston stand because no one was there!! We were also the first people onto the aston stand , and sat in all the astons. Weve got the Vantage and DB9 brouchers and were going to test drive the vantage in september :)

I'm about to leave now and the show closes at 5pm....
My family are knackered from my holiday so I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL I CAN GO TO GENEVA OR FRANKFURT ON MY OWN (or with a friend).

They're mostly regular "boring" cars so it's not too amazing. Mostly tried to persuade parents to replace an old banger.....

nice pictures. :) Enzo is a lovely car, and its nice to sit in, like most supercars. But unfortunately, not all are cars you could use every day (once the novelty has warn off).
what event was that?

Hey, i'm new to this place so still a bit confused about all the threads, but oh well. Anyway talking about the British motor show then, did anyone see the concept Aston Martin? I managed to get a quite a good pic of it, but the problem is it's too big a file and i haven't got any proper resize software. Does anyone know any good picture software that's free? help is much appreciated, thanks in advance. mdr1

That's a great shot of the Stig there! The shadows really capture the brooding mystery that generally shrouds him.
