Hi guys. This is a bit OFF topic but in Sptember, I would make video like this playig TDU. On this vid I was playing GT Legends, that is a great game too. :)
Hope some people (*cough* evsky *cough* tonguegre ) stop thinkig I am crazy that I want manual shifter support in TDU...which is now confirmed by magicfr (THANKS MAN! :respect: )
I just want to show you, why I prefer PC, not X360 version of the game, and yes.....I want to show off about that a bit :laugh: :p

If you are interessted, I have one more video which shows the handbrake too.

So, what you think about that?

Lol, yeah.. but it's a pretty cool thing he made there. The shifting is sweet and i'd love to see the handbrake. How much did this cost you?

Well, It wasnt too expensive. The price of the wheel is about 130 dollars now.
The clutch is made from an ooold joy, so lets say 5 bucks and H shifter I´ve made using another joystick(Logitech F 23) so 15 dollars. Other things I found somewhere in our house, just bought some wood for 2 dollars so it costs about 150 bucks together. And yes, the pc, that was for 1000 dollars.

150 dollars, so about 135 euro's? Logitech's best steering wheel for ps2 costs that much. eekblue:

You think it is cheap or expensive? I think its like for free because for few bucks you have so much fun.....
And try to disconect and then connect on the internet if you have dinamyc IP adress...then you dont have to wait 27 minutes but 27 seconds ;)

I can say that driving with such a hardware as mine is VERY close to reality...especially when you play some simulator, with all driving aids and helps off. :nuts: Its just great. Some beast like Ford GT 40 or Shelby CObra 427 are pretty hard to just keep going straight on full throttle.
About handbrake. No, it has no Force Feedback...actually....it has no electronic force feedback. ...ehm...I can´t explain it, my english sucks :D but....it just feel like the real handbrake, so you need some strenght to rise it up..but this doesn´t come from some electromotors or so...I just mounted the handbrake to a spring and made a mechanism that can keep it up when you want. So it feels right. :wink2:

When did you see that message? After clicking on the link or when?
Make sure you enter valid code and dont use download manager. (p.s. on RapidShare, that letter that looks like "O" is ALWAYS ALWAYS Zero - 0 )

why do you shift from 5 to 4 and then to 3?
in gt legends you can shift from 5 to 3 with your thing, that save's you some time, just brake harder and shift down to 3

and since were showing of here

this is my setup how i play race games :)

Great!! I am not alone with H shifter.... great cockpit you have there! :bravo: I want that wheel you have soooo much....well, not exactly DFP, just anything that has 900° it must be SO great!
Only one thing missing there, the clutch, it is a bit strange to shift with H shifter without a clutch, I think you should make one, its so easy and it worth it! :wink2:

About shifting, well IMHO , it is better to shift like I do.
It helps your car to slow down not only by brakes but also by engine. Just watch some videos from real historic races, they shift down exactly as I do. But anyone like something else so dont take this as some offense... :)
Btw. do you have some videos of your setup in action? I would like to see it in motion :)

yes there is a video, it was taped with a PDA of a friend of mine with some cometary in dutch, it isn't me who's racing that's another friend.
i build it with 2 friends and it came out real nice
i see him tomorrow and i will ask him to send the video to me, if he still has it

thanks man. The game I play here GT LEGENDS. One of the Best simulations for PC (with GTR, GPL, rFactor and Live for speed). Its a historic car simulator, there are cars from 60´s and 70´s. There are legends like Jaguar E tipe, Ford Mustang, Shelby Cobra, Ford GT 40, Shelby GT 350...and many many more. (younger sister of the famous GT500 which will be in TDU tonguegre )
I like those cars very much and I plan to make a vid driving Shelby GT350. I can upload it when it´s done IF someone want it :)

I am 17 and without a job, I just dont have so much money.....but the next thing is.....If I had those money, would I spent them to one seat? :laugh: I mean, you can buy pretty good bike for 2000 bucks in real life.... :laugh:
