Okay, I was really exited when I read on many online sites that Test Drive: Unlimited would only cost $39.95 for the Xbox 360. So today I decided to check this out on a few shopping sites. To my amazment, it turns out that I think only gamers got the message, not the actual major other-then-games stores. Ya EB (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=200120) got it as $39.99, as well as GameStop (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=200120). But Walmart (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4756804), Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7294634&type=product&id=1118841876555), and Target (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-2/qid=1154615183/ref=sr_1_2/601-7034270-8049760?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=B000EGEX9Y) have it as $59.99. Infact, they have it as the PS2, PC, and PSP versions are $39.99; but not the Xbox 360. Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you think when the game actually does release the price will be reduced back to where it should be? If it doesn't, then it looks like EB or GameStop are the only way to save your rightful $20.

You probably live in the US, cos in Europe we're paying the full price (€60 or 40 pounds).

I went into Game today. The top 2 rows , Full of Tdu boxes for pre-orders. But they are using the old cover. Not the new one with the yellow car.

Don't mean to be rude or funny but I thought this was a UK forum.

We dont have Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart (Asda I guess), or are you just teasing us with the $39.99 price?

Don't take me seriously though, we've already had a big debate about the price (a mass-debate) :) :) :) :) :)

oh dang. Whoops. I am obviously new, and I didn't know there were different forums for different countries. But ya, I do live in the US. Normally Xbox 360 3rd. party games cost $60. But TDU is $40.

It'll probably be different on the site, cause I think he actually meant his GAME store, as in www.game.net :)

BestBuy in the store told me $40 as well.

Those websites probably haven't updated their sites yet since gaming isn't their main area.

Hi Quicksilver4648, welcome here, don't listen to the silly one who have to comment about the UKiness of this forum (grrrrrrrr guys, if someone mentions Walmart, it's obvious that he/she is from the US, no? weirdblue ). There is a US forum too but you're most welcome here :)

We have a few Asda-Walmarts here in the UK. The new one in MK is HUGE.

Hi Quicksilver4648, welcome here, don't listen to the silly one who have to comment about the UKiness of this forum :)

I suppose your refering to me? Why so high and mighty?

I never said Quicksilver4648 couldn't post in these forums. If thats the impression he got then I apologise and welcome his posts.

I also did not need to read his reference to American stores to know that he was from the US, the title of the thread gave it away "Is it really only $39.99?".

I think that as this is a UK forum, surely his thread would have been better suited to the US forum, and as we have already had a long heated thread about the price we didn't need another thread to turn nasty.

Apart from that, I did emphasise in my above post that I was not trying to be rude or funny and to not take me seriously.

Has no one in these forums got a sense of humour?

Once again Quicksilver4648 I apologise if you took my post the wrong way, I know there are American posters on here already so please continue posting.

I like members from all over the world. I think it's amazing how a guy in America can share their opinion with a guy in Finland, say.

TDU BRINGS THE WORLD TOGETHER! :bravo:

I agree. But if people from all over the world are going to post in the UK forum, shouldn't it be just about the game itself and not about specific issues like this threads topic?

If I'm wrong then I'm wrong but please don't anyone flame me for it.
