Firstly, I would like to say that TDU looks like a very promising game from what I have read and seen, its already on pre-order from Play.com for the PC!
Will we be limited to a single online name for each copy of the game? TRD3 was plagued with many racers using muliple aliases to wreek havoc online, allowing them immediate access to servers where they had just been banned or kicked!
Due to the roaming nature of TDU, could a 'roamer' directly influence a race going on between other players? Due to my age (32), I'm skeptical by nature, which makes me worry about people organising a "friendly roamer" to try and deliberately take-out a specific car in a race (thereby helping their friend competing in the race)...
The inter and intra club ratings system I've read about sounds intresting, but will there be meaningful ratings for racers who do not join a TDU racing club? Being older than the average racer, I'm unlikely to be anything but a free agent, but it would be nice to have comaprable ratings to someone effectively in a drving clan.
Will races all be point-to-point (like a rally), or can there also be circuit races? If circuit races are possible, what will the consequences be for someone purposely going the wrong way around the curcuit? Yep, synical me (speaking from TRD3 experience in recent months), is sick of racers going out of their way to wreck the race for others. I would love to see an incremental penalty system implemented eg. 1st offence no online play for 10 mins, 2nd offence 1 hour, 3rd offence a day etc. I am a believer in people should be accountable for their actions, so if racers don't race fair, they get their virtual wrists slapped! :nono:
I'm sure other questions will spring to mind at some point, as I only buy games for their online multiplayer aspect, but that is about all I can come up with right now! Can't wait to burn some rubber on a Hawaiian island, be it in a PC demo or full release, whichever comes first! :chapeau:
