I live in London and use several gaming shops.

Went to Game in Camden Town on Wednesday, no trace of anything TDU related stuff at all, apart from a mention in the "coming soon poster".

Went to Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street today, still nothing. Not a thing. Not even the cover on display, nothing. I actually questioned the shop assistant who was looking after me, he didn't seem to have a clue (read: he replied that there was some TDU stuff somewhere over "there"...there wasn't any)

Are you experiencing the same thing?

I havent seen any advertising except for on the web with xbox360 related sites and shops like Play.com, which are purely online.

I went the other week to Blue water and looked in game and a few other shops, now sign of TDU advertisment.

Edit: Craige, you must have gone recently, as the cases and posters must have recently arrived in their stores (after i went the other week).

Well I don't live in London and mostly go to the same store. tonguegre An independant shop named Gamecity. Ellis, the girl behind the counter always has time to talk and always knows what you're on about.

I went to pre-order there 2 weeks ago, it was real busy at the time but when I mentioned TDU she knew what it was (even though she said 28th of september before checking :))

Nothing I've seen on promo's or posters or whatnot though.

Pretty much. The only thing I've seen is a couple of empty boxes of TDU in GAME in Kingston. Nothing major, sadly.

Maybe I could be an advertising consultant tonguegre

At the local Electronics Boutique, TDU cover cases are on the top shelf mostly out of eye's viewing.

But there is a small poster cut out on the counter, and a couple posters in the store.

So the States are almost just as bad :mefiant:

I'm sort of puzzled. So there's a good game with a hell of a lot of support from the publisher. Special goodies for the retailer. A pretty nice fan base. Yet no support on the high street? :mefiant:

Everywhere in Southend On Sea, Essex, that will sell TDU has quite a bit of advertising...

Game have posters, countdowns and pre order boxes.
HMV have, in the games section, a few posters and like a real small carcoard cutout.
Gamestation have a few posters.
Even the independant storeshave advertised in shop.

Maybe it'd be better if the ads weren't so freaking stupid.

C'mon, guy in a speedo with 2 girls? Since when is that what TDU is about? It's actually kind of a turnoff.

KoenigViper, I'm talking more about Point of Sales advertising - simple things like pre-order empty boxes, that seem to be missing in major shops. Oxford Street is the shopping street in London, and Virgin Megastore is pretty big.

really? i never found it?

i found HMV - that is BIG! but i never found Virgin. :hin:

I think that's the Test Drive Stigma.

Test Drive as a name has been used for far to many far to mediocre racing games for far to long.

When I first heard about TDU I thought? "What the..? why don't they give up allready and let it die?"

Then I actually started reading about the game and I was hooked. :atari:
