Will you be able to walk around your house? :hin: Like in PGR3 when you walked in the garage. Cause that would be pretty awsome to be able to walk around and like check out the pool and stuff. I saw in one of the trailers or prewiews that you can watch tv and phone other peaple in the game.

Yes this was something that was asked about a while ago, but the reply was that it was in the original considerations for the game but they had to drop it along with a lot of other ideas. But we are all hopeful that it will be in TDU 2 (when they make it... a long time away) i hope this helps

Accurately map whole of UK now thats a challenge wont fit on a normal dvd disk but maybe could take advantage of blueray on PS3 etc. :)

That would be pretty awesome but a nice exotic island for follow up be quite cool. :)

Mapping the UK accuratley would be awesome.. You could go places that you want to go to in real life but can't. Too big though, I did see in a post earlier that Microsoft are developing a new disc with more space on, not sure if its true but i think i saw it earlier.. hope this is true. :chapeau:

maybe what they could do is start out with london then release add ons to your map so then they add the midlands and then as you go on thought the years extra bits get added (though xbox live)

Thats a good idea. Think, if that were to happen we could have the whole of Europe in theory. Now that would be cool.

Its HD DVD but Microsoft said they wont be using it for games only movies (they are releasing stand alone player for 360) im not really clued up on this but might be able to in future.

The Sizes all vary though standard disk are single-layer and dual-layer formats HD DVD 15GB and 30GB and for Blu-ray, it's 25GB and 50GB.

Blueray on other hand recently announced that they have created a working experimental Blu-ray disc capable of holding 200 GB of data (six 33 GB data layers).

So im sure thats more then plenty to do a huge project but i bet disks are not cheap hehe. :)

Anyway Certainly bright times ahead. :)

Edit: Good idea but add on places would take alot of disk space why needs to be on disk first. :)

I agree with you though id love to see whole of Europe on Test Drive Unlimited would be amazing. Oahu is huge and that only using 9GB+ dual layer disk think what 200gb disk could hold.

also 20 years more production time ;)

To recreate a whole island accurately takes way to much time. TDU is off quite a bit but does a great job to fill in the empty areas.

The island of Oahu only takes up half the disc as reported. You do the math.

I'd still personally like to see Florida's southern area redone. :)

it's gone OT

so back to the thread, walking around the house is off, but is it walking into garage on ? and is picking a car like a list or you get near by the car (wich you wanna drive) press action button and drive it from your yard to the street ?
